We don't get to do big family outings much with a family of 7 and we have NEVER been so disappointed is a Japanese steakhouse! We got seated quickly for a Saturday night but it was later: 7:40pm! We were at a table by ourselves since we take most of it up. A party of four came in about 5... Stopped in for a sushi dinner with wife and son. Started with misogyny soup (yum), crab salad (delicious), had a New York Roll with Filler, Spicy Tuna Roll, and the Dragon roll. Had some Polmagrand Saki that percect. Our server Brian was amazing. Checked on us regularly and took great care of us. Thanks Hakata and staff.... Got there early, so we could request chef of our choice. He even tried some comedy. The food the best yet. Food flying every where, never missing his mark. We drove up from Emerald Isle to eat here for my birthday; chose this restaurant based on good reviews. We were not disappointed. We ate hibachi - the food was great, service was great, our chef was great and very engaging with not only my children but my wife, mother-in-law, and myself too.

Would most certainly dine here again! The staff is wonderful. Hibachi chefs are great with kids and love making jokes. The food is wonderful. Compared to the other hibachi restaurants in town, this one is our favorite. They go heavier on the garlic and veggies, and lighter on the soy sauce. Shrimp is the best. Food is on point. A little expensive but it's a steakhouse. I've been here a couple times now and have to say this is by far the best hibachi place in the area! Service is great both by the cook and the wait staff. Had a few drinks at the bar before dinner. I drink hurricanes which most bartenders don't make so I settle on something else.
