Ottawa's favourite ALL YOU CAN EAT restaurants 1910 Innes Road, Gloucester 228 Albert Street, Ottawa 228 Albert Street, Ottawa (2nd floor) Very reasonably priced for the quality that you get. Not the best sushi but for $8 per meal it's very good. If you buy buffet menu ($15 lunch or $25 dinner) you'd probably get a good value. Good customer service too. We returned one of the dish because it wasn't what we expected and they took it. Our whole family loves sushi restaurants and our Ottawa grandchildren picked this one. We were not disappointed. It is clean, well kept, and our round table for 5 was perfect. You order by listing on a piece of paper the number of your choices. I found this easier than using an iPad as some restaurants do. I think I would... The breaded shrimp, sushi and spring rolls were delicious. Everyone enjoyed the soy and plum sauces that were included. The quality does not justify the price. You can go to almost any other all you can eat sushi buffet in Ottawa and pay the same price for way better sushi.

I don't recommend it and won't go back. We went here for a friend's birthday brunch so we didn't really have a choice in the venue - I would have rather stayed home and had toast. The other relatively negative reviews have accurately expressed what is wrong with this place. The food is alright but ultimately mediocre and overpriced. The servers seem overworked and uninspired. Stopped at the restaurant for dinner at around 7. Service was slow & food so so. Lost my appetite when I saw a fat bug which looked like a cockroach. When a second one started crawling up the barrier next to me I killed it (see picture attached) with the container that holds the food order forms. Attended with office staff after reviews were generally positive for this restaurant. On attending it was an immediate disappointment with very poor service, not getting the food orders as requested. When waiters were asked about the orders they appeared confused and were attempting to describe food orders as something different than what had been served.

The rolls are very large and thick, with little taste or texture. At about 8:30 for some... We started coming here when it first opened over 5 yrs ago with our sons.
jiro dreams of sushi ginzaThey now come with their girlfriends for date nights. We do our birthday celebrations here, mid week lunches, weekend suppers. It's consistently great value and the sashimi is fresh and delicious. Definitely our family's favourite sushi spot. "My husband and I had dinner here recently. This place has a lot of character. It has a kitschy nautical theme to it, complete with a mannequin dressed like a pirate that greets you at the entrance. "Went here for the first time after hearing so many rave reviews, and man it did not disappoint! 4 pages of vegan options to chose from (there's meat there too for the carnivores) and even dairy free…" "I had takeout from here recently and it was great.

I had been avoiding this spot for sometime despite it being in my neighbourhood because I went to their Merivale location many years ago and was not…" "Went here on a recommendation from some friends for a 5-year wedding anniversary celebration. I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere... I think I was imagining something more…"“My favourite is the coconut ice cream though.” “A great positive that is rare to find at AYCE is that they hardly missed an item that we requested, so that is a major plus.” “Teriyaki, tempura, udon, short ribs, fried rice, General Tsao's chicken, seaweed salad, wonton soup...” "Since moving to Ottawa from Toronto, this has been our go-to sushi place ... try to make it out here at least once a month. Fish has always been fresh, and not a single item off the menu has let us down…" "Dis place is BOMB amazing sushi, try handrolls, amazing everythin else like dimsum you gotta try. The calamari isnt really good dont get dat but everything else is amazing.

Service was perfect never had…" "I was in Ottawa on Easter and visited this restaurant because I am a fan of their Vaughn restaurant. The decor was stunning. The designer did a great job with a difficult floor plan. Genji provides an extensive menu that features expertly prepared versions of sushi, sashimi, tempura and teriyakiWelcome To SkipTheDishes: A Better Way To Get Your Food. I went to 168 Sushi with my friend's work Christmas party and it was amazing! It was great quality for all-you-can eat sushi and the service was very fast especially considering how busy they were. I will defiantly go again! If you're a sushi aficionado, you will not enjoy this restaurant. Their menu selections are okay, and the concept is interesting (being able to order food from a tablet and have it arrive at the table shortly thereafter), but the quality of the fish is low, and the other dishes, like the tempura and miso soup were, at best, unremarkable....

I used to love this place but, sadly, the last couple times we have gone, the food gets worse and worse. We went last night and the shrimp, crab and vegetable tempura was delivered to our table in less than five minutes...and luke warm. It's obvious they are pre-cooking the regular favorites and stockpiling before serving. Several of our rolls... “Our favorite Sushi restaurant” I enjoyed eating the vegetarian Sushi good variety to choose a la cart. I have been twice and both times the food was very good. The food is always consistently good. Sometimes the employees seem a little disinterested (hit and miss). You can keep ordering so the food is always fresh. I suggest trying: the california tempura roll, tempura vegetables, spicy beef. Good sashimi for dinner. I also like roasted mackerel, which is not available at other local sushi restaurants. Went there a couple of times last summer, and although the first time was average acceptable, the last two times has been very disappointing.
