sushi grade salmon new orleans

“As someone who deals professionally in bulk and volume discount purchasing, I'm partial towards wholesale places.” “It's like Sam's or Cosco on steroids!” “I will shop here often, 4 lbs of Plugra unsalted butter for less than $11 out the door, at the big stores its over 5 bucks a pound, lots of different products, meats, produce, seafood, dairy etc..”Maybe 3.5 stars because honestly most of the shoes here (all Donald Pliner) don't fit me. They start above my baby-sized feet. On the outside this is your basic mall (OK, fancy Canal Place mall) shoe…" "Good selection of designer duds at great prices. I always head here within a few hours of landing in New Orleans. I always find something and the staff is always friendly, i.e. no nasty attitude when you…" "A friend recommended John's to me. The service was great, they were friendly and efficient. The prices seemed pretty reasonable to me, though I can't compare to other places since I haven't rented many tuxes…"

"Visited during my last NOLA trip. Great service, great selection of yarns, I browsed for about an hour before dropping nearly $100 on "souvenir" yarn. Can't wait to visit again, and I…" Can someone give me a short primer on how fish is "graded"? For example, what is the difference between sushi grade fish and non-sushi grade fish? How hazardous is it to use high quality, non-sushi grade fish for sushi?I am often in Spain for an extended stay and sometimes I go to the fish market, which has incredibly fresh, to buy fish to prepare sushi at home. Things are never labeled as "sushi grade" and I don't think most would know what that was if I ask. So are there some basic questions that I can ask to determine whether the fish I get can be used for sushi/sashimi? Want to stay up to date with this post? yo sushi delivery bristol Fishy names: "doré" from Vietnam Updated 4 months ago | See All Latest Discussions › I definitely enjoyed eating here. At first we were going to eat at Lebanon's but they weren't serving gyros only gyro plates so I'm glad we decided to come here. We were the only customers at the time but that was okay. The inside is beautiful murals and middle eastern paintings from local N.O. artists. The gyros do not cost... The portions were quite large and reasonable prices. We ordered the hummus for an app which was both creamy and delicious! I ordered the chicken swarma salad which was huge, I only finished half the salad. My husband ordered the combo salad which he said was very tasty. The chicken was seasoned well and was still moist. We have been eating at this little neighborhood cafe on Maple Street in the Riverbend for about 20 years.

We come and go from NOLA but the Babylon is always here. It's a good place to go for a delicious, casual meal. It's no secret that I love Mediterranean food and I am slowly trying every Mediterranean restaurant in the New Orleans area. I stopped into Babylon Cafe for dinner and it was a fairly slow night. This is a "no frills" type of place, hence the "cafe" title, but I like the murals on the wall and the staff is friendly.... Babylon Cafe is a small restaurant on Maple Street where locals go for great Mediterranean food. The Falafel is outstanding they have beer and wine available. The salads are large, the chicken tikka is fantastic moist and flavorful. The salmon was great and cooked perfectly. Great food but very slow, unhelpful staff. Be prepared for loads of flies if you choose to sit outside! The rose tea is wonderfully refreshing and amount of food is HUGE! “Great food but difficult to eat without cutlery!” This place is a real gem. Best Mediterranean food I have had in Nola.

They even roast the beans for the Turkish coffee. We have been eating at Babylon Café for years, both lunch and dinner. Throughout that time, our food has been consistently delicious. Whether it be appetizer plates, sandwiches, salad, lentil soup or any of the vast array of entrees, baklava, tea, or any combination, you can count on wonderful portions, very fresh tasting food, and a surprisingly low bill. During our recent visit to the area we wanted something other than creole or cajun food. We were very pleased that we chose Babylon Cafe for our dinner one evening. The Middle-Eastern food was authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. Service was good and the interior is decorated with beautiful wall murals. We observed many people coming in for take-out also.... Excellent food excellent service reasonable prices nice portions of food ! I would go there over and over !I was able to make a reservationI was able to make a reservation for 9 people a few days ahead of time and the table was waiting for us when part of our party arrived.

The service was slow; we waited 20 minutes before getting water and menus, which was OK since not everyone from our party had arrived yet. However, the service stayed slow; the food took a long time to come out and the waiter also took a long time to bring us our bill. Despite the service, the food was delicious--I had the "Rico" and it was quite flavorful and fresh. Portions weren't too large, either. I would certainly go back! The flavors were very fresh and the Carribean taste was definitely there. I will be back.Healthy and delicious - good for vegetarians!!

I tried the Rico sandwich (veggie version) and loved it. Also loved the Graviola fruit juice!YesNoReport545The vegan menu is quite impressiveThe vegan menu is quite impressive and the cocktails are well made. The portion sizes were a little small I thought but besides that, the place was great.YesNoReport544Better option for lunchWe went for NYE dinner- you seat yourself and have to go up to the register to order. The menu is varied and they have vegetarian/vegan versions for all entrees. Both the carnivores and vegetarians were happy with their orders. The food itself was delicious- but the portions were small for dinner, and the price was high considering that you have to go up to order and get your own utensils. There were also some inventory issues which I did not expect on a holiday. I think the portions and service are more suited for a casual lunch. Again, the food itself is absolutely delicious- both the meat and veggie versions of the Rico were great as was the tuna sandwich.

The Brazilian cheese balls were a hit, and the house salad dressing is phenomenalYesNoReport523Healthy option in Nola. LovedHealthy option in Nola. Already expected for a big charge for Christmas meal but the food was like the business lunch- wanton-chips, chinese noodles and spring roll, soup and orange chicken with vegetables.YesNoReport133We were in NOLA for a fewWe were in NOLA for a few days prior to Christmas, and there was one night when we did not have dinner reservations and were looking for a nearby uncomplicated dinner spot convenient to our hotel in the Arts District. The reviews of Carmo were good, and we were not disappointed! The space is eclectic, orders are taken at the counter, our choices were excellent, and the servings were plentiful.

Nothing fancy, just good wholesome food, and we will look for it again when we return to the city.YesNoReport444How nice to find such interestingHow nice to find such interesting vegetarian food in NoLa! The staff was very sweet (even though we came in pretty close to closing time) and accomadating!

Great beer and wine selection and the food was outstanding! I will probably start going more often for lunch, seems like a great lunch spot, but when I'm in the mood for a nice light dinner, Carmo will be my place!Lots of vegetarian & vegan dishes - rare in NOLA. Meat-eaters will be happy, too. YesNoReport535The restaurant is small andThe restaurant is small and cozy. The staff was very friendly. The food preparation area is visible from the main dining area and I noticed food being prepared from scratch. We had the Broken Noodle Salad, Plantain Patty with Pulled Pork (vegan and vegetarian versions of "pulled pork" are also available) and Plain Baquette Bread with Havarti Cheese. All dishes were excellent. This is definitely not your standard steak and seafood restaurant. If like vegetarian dishes and appreciate culinary creativity with a tropical twist, then Carmo is for you.YesNoReport434Our group loved the flexibilityOur group loved the flexibility of the menu: nearly every item had options for vegan, vegetarian, or meat/fish.

One member of our party was a strict vegetarian, and so Carmo was a treasure (especially in New Orleans, where vegetarian cuisine can be hard to find). Delicious and beautifully prepared food, great cocktails, and everything VERY reasonably priced!YesNoReport545Staff and management wereStaff and management were warm and friendly.
