The food wasn't very good and most items tasted the same and the service was subpar.
We gave it two chances bc in the past this was a good place. Unfortunately it appears as if something has changed and I won't go back. My family had a wonderful dinner experience at PF Chang this evening. We were pleasantly served by one of the staff, Coombs. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. He noticed that our daughter's lemonade was running low and took the initiative to replenish the drink without us requesting for it. During the course of our dinner, he had to take... This place is just like all the other ones in the chain. Nothing stands out that makes this anymore special than the others. The food in good, but it's pricey for the quality you're getting. It was my wife's birthday, and while Walnut Creek is not close to our home, it is close too our son, so we opted to travel out to him for a family lunch. Our favorite place if we want to splurge is PF Chang's in that it can accommodate our daughters food allergies fairly well. We also discovered the Oolong...
Our friend who took us to this restaurant said that it had good reviews. The venue was attractive with cosy seating and food nice enough but nothing exceptional but the thing that struck us the most was that the food was not very warm. The problem with any venue in California is the air conditioning, couple that with the cold... It's not the the food is not good as it is. Just not a lot of it, shall we use the word petite? Prices are higher than most on a competitive basis. Superb modern Chinese food in downtown Walnut Creek. Friendly service, and very tasty food. Worth booking, as gets very busy. It was all good, but the orange Chicken and orange beef were especially good. We came to walnut creek to check it out the new mall and wow, fantastic!!! After we walked around and shopped we were decided to come to here quick bite before headed back to the the city. Greeted and seated us right away. Great servers and great food. But the place was a mess, no busser clean out...
We went to this restaurant when it first opened in 1999 when we had the very bizarre experience that the kitchen seemed incapable of preparing our meal and in stead the server kept bringing dishes that other customers had returned to the kitchen as being the wrong order. This time, we went because we had been given gift cards and... we had a really nice family lunch outing at PF chang after long time. Really awesome contemporary Chinese food... waiting to go again..Tokyo Fish Market1220 San Pablo AveBerkeley, CA 94706(510) 524-7243I think Tokyo Fish Market is the best retail Japanese market to get fish for your sushi and all the ingredients you need to make sushi.
