Sushi.....a speck of fish amidst a very thick portion of rice. All rice no meat. For the price they charge and what they make, they're not in it to impress you. You can only make one first impression. Really wasn't to sure what to expect especially from a small town but I have to say it was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. I had take out and the packaging was done well. I would recommend this restaurant again. now called Jokul Sushi, food is good , fresh and all you can eat you can try all kinds of things . I especially like the Tempuras and the dragons in the sushi. easy to find right on the highway going through town. Spotted this place while driving through the town. It seems like they were short staffed and only one person was making the sushi and this maybe be the cause of the problem. Service was horrible (no English is spoken), waited for a long time for our food to come. It was like they have forgotten us. Half of our first... Stopped here on a work trip.

Was going to go to McDonald's but then I saw this place across the street. Since I love sushi and wasn't thrilled about going to McDonald's so I thought I would give it a try. Next time we will east sushi in the bay, it's much much better and the experience is better. Noone else in the restaurant. Waitress didn't speak English. The food was very bad, the soup came cold, long wait times... We went for lunch with the kids. There was no one else in the restaurant. Not always a good sign. I travel a lot and eat Sushi a lot. Its hard comparing one place to another as each recipe for a certain order is slightly different. One of the things that is really awesome about Sushi Garden is the specialty sushi that they make for catering or pick-up. It doesn't look like much from the outside or even when you walk in, but it is a good clean restaurant.

My most recent visit I called to order the same meal. Just to be safe I mentioned again that I don't eat egg, dairy or meat. Middle of the road Chinese food. Buffet not always reliable so usually best to order from the menu. Nothing stands out as a special and its always been good portions regardless of choice. Visited for lunch food was hot and we liked the variety of food that the buffet had. Resturant could use a little cleaning. I cover northern Ontario for business regularly. Being vegan it can be very difficult to find tasty food without getting really creative. They have excellent vegan options that are so tasty and were happy to make changes with some items that normally would have egg.

I highly recommend Lois! Couldn't ask for a better Chinese/Canadian meal in Northern Ontario. “Sad to find out I was lied to last time” We come to this establishment every so often. Too hard to resist, really. Food is great while prices are fair. May be super crazy busy Friday nights, but which restaurants aren't? Would recommend to anyone. Overall, it is what it is. The whole experience in general was awful. I went in to order take out and they wouldn't even allow for me to make any changes to what came in with the meal. I even told them I was willing to pay more but they said no. I have never had a Chinese food restaurant do that before.. Great buffet, not large, but everything they had was excellent, the ribs were actually meat and bones not bones fat and a bit of meat... Although lacking in ambiance and selection in buffet, it was good value and food fresh and hot. Lois Canton Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant in Sturgeon Falls that is good value for the money.
