Sushi Cat is based on the classic ‘Plinko’ game-show activity where players try to get an object into a bin at the bottom of a pinball-style grid featuring a host of moving pegs and obstacles. In Sushi Cat, Whiskers the friendly blue feline wants to bulk up as much as possible in order to impress a pretty pink cat – so he’s set his sights on munching as many tasty fish dishes as possible (sushi is a traditional Japanese rice dish usually prepared with raw fish – a scrumptious delicacy for a cat!). This fun and unusual arcade game actually relies a lot on luck (and the effects of gravity) as you cannot affect the movement of your hungry cat once he has been released into the playing field. However, good judgment and instinctive timing definitely come into play as you have to carefully choose the correct place and optimum time to release this hungry cat. Watching a kitty bouncing around a playing area, and gobbling up fish has never been so entertaining! How to Play: In each of the 15 increasingly difficult levels, your goal is to collect 30 pieces of sushi by strategically dropping your cat into the obstacle-filled game field.

You begin each level with 5 cats, and must gather at least 30 pieces of sushi to get a ‘Full Belly’, and progress to the next level. Using your computer mouse or touchpad, move your cat along the top of the game screen, and Left Click to release him into the playing area. He bounces around the game grid, reacting and interacting with the ledges and obstacles in each level. You can see how many cats you have remaining in the top left corner. In later levels, the pinball-style ledges and obstacles move around the playing field, making it more difficult for your kitty to collect 30 pieces of sushi. If you run out of cats without amassing the 30 sushi pieces, click the ‘Try Again’ button that appears to restart the level. In later levels, a ‘Dragon Cannon’ allows you to re-launch your cat in your direction of choice. If your cat comes into contact with a Dragon Cannon icon (often hidden among the sushi), you can avail of this useful launching tool. Use the mouse cursor to aim, and click to fire the cat toward a cluster of sushi pieces.
