everything was fine until the bill came, mind you i work in the restaurant business for 20+ years. they charged us gratuity and didn't mention it at all. so i tip the servers, cook and sushi chef my 20%+ like i always do when i eating out,... Their sushi was not good -- I ordered spicy tuna and it was really bland, almost as if it was full of mayo and no "spicy". it was better under the Miyako people. do not order from this place this place is owned by jerk offs they are so rude and nasty that I just returned my order cause I'd rather not deal with people like that Now, under new management (again), Umi Sushi (formerly Miyako) has not changed (other than the name). Aside from a roll that my husband had (and was pleased with), the food was pretty disappointing. The chicken was very overcooked as was basically everything else. As far as atmosphere goes, nothing has been done to improve or change the place. The place has a very friendly staff and serves excellent food.The prices are reasonable.
