Sushi Zushi – Polish variation about Japan For a very long time I claimed (and I still believe that I was right) that Izumi Sushi has the best sushi in Warsaw, and that once you try it you won’t try any other sushi place again. But when I went to Sushi Zushi I changed my mind. Now there are two great sushi places in Warsaw. And nothing’s better for customers than a little competition. Sushi Zushi was opened several years ago by Polish sushi masters from three sushi restaurants, considered (at that time) the best in Warsaw. These three guys decided to roll sushi on their own and their sushi is soooooo good. They brought some innovation to the Polish sushi scene (the salmon tartar – now obligatory in almost every sushi restaurant) and they’re always pleased if you ask them for something creative that’s not on the menu. I also love the decor here. Long pieces of material hang from the ceiling, everything is made from bright wood – it’s both welcoming and chic, comfy and exotic.

You can choose to sit by the table or by the sushi bar. While in Izumi I always choose the table and go with my favourite set. In Sushi Zushi I always choose the bar. You can watch how the sushi is made, talked with the sushi masters and ask them to combine the ingredients that you see into one roll. And I can’t stress it enough: don’t limit yourself to the menu, go wild. I ordered maki with salmon tartar (which were really tasty) and California gold which were really big and tasty. Tartar I could definitely recommend! At least that was the taste I wanted. It's not the cheapest place when compared with other restaurants in Warsaw but still... This place is so bad that I do not even know where to start. I couldn't agree more with other reviewers saying that the staff in sushi zushi is extremly unprofessional. Young girls that have no idea how to do their job, sushi "chefs" kneeling behind the counter to use their phone and eat their food (what a shock that... My polish girlfriend wanted us to go eat here at Sushi Zushi because she remembered this place for their good quality in food as she is crazy about sushi. Everything there is very fresh and tasty. A bit expensive but definitely worth a visit (or two 😉) Very good, lots of tastes, form and colors, prime fresh, both simple and compound - lots of choices for a nice sushi dining. Expensive, might be a bit more expensive than it should, probably due to the celebrities attending, so if you strip these out of the equation it seem to expensive, but at the end it is difficult to... This is obviously a trendy restaurant that appeals to "fashionable" people, but don't let the posh appearance put you off. The food is fantastic and watching the chef prepare your choice of sushis, sashimis, nigiris and tempuras while interacting with you in conversation is fully worth the price. Everything I ate was excellent and the fish was really fresh. O I loved the decor and overall feeling of this place. We were sited at the bar surrounding the open kitchen area, and it was very interesting to watch the sushi being prepared on the spot. they had many interesting combinations that I had never tried before, and I loved every bite.

We came to Youmiko with two friends and my 3 year old boy. He was happy to watch the cooking and the cook were very friendly with him. Also the stuff was friendly and available. We had the best new years dinner at Youmiko, w. several different pieces that all was explained and presented with genuine attitude from the staff. Exciting flavours and a fun eating experience. I hope someone takes this concept of real good vegan sushi to Stockholm, what I've heard it's about to establish in Oslo in... I walked to this restaurant and found myself in a street, where I certainly did not expect a place with such quality food.

Unfortunately I was too late to go for the extended menu, so had to do with a smaller choice. Nevertheless, each sushi was extremely fresh and of a delicious taste. I was happily surprised. Fun, slightly fancy sushi restaurant. We choose the 5 course tasting menu and didn't regret it - who would have thought almonds worked in sushi? Wonderfully affordable with great staff and a good atmosphere, part of the fun was seeing what everyone else was having. I wish there was something like this in London.
