While looking on google and yelp for nearby well rated sushi restaurants Yoshi's came up with one of the best ratings. The disappointment started upon entering. There was no host or waitress to seat us. We stood in front for almost... Local, unobtrusive storefront, with fresh and tasty sushi. Unadorned decor but the focus is on the menu items. Service is a bit slow, perhaps because it is so busy, but friendly and the wait is worth it for the freshness of the food.
Good neighborhood place with reasonable prices for the quality. I come here a few times each month with friends. The sushi is so good - the blue crab hand roll is my favorite sushi dish ever and my brother asks for it every time he comes to visit me. The owners are very nice, the fish is always fresh and they always have great specials on sake or beer.... Great staff, great sushi, great price! From start to finish we had a great experience, high quality fish and the chefs produced really carefully crafted flavoursome sushi. I love this little hole-in-the-wall gem! The fish is super fresh and I love the simplicity of it all. They have fun specials: $1 sake night, sake bomb night, etc. The place is super small and fills up quickly on Friday and Saturday night, but I have never had a problem getting a table or sitting at the bar for... Of course there are great pieces of fish you can get at other places but consistently and with good value and portion Yoshi's beats them all. They use artificial crab for some... Friends took me to this neighborhood place I'd passed dozens of times and never thought twice about it. Truth is the quality of the fish is great, food is well prepared and pretty creative. I highly recommend the blue crab tools, the albacore is always high quality. I enjoy the Jewel roll (no rice) and the spicy California ball is... good sushi at a reasonable price.
