The food was wonderful and many gluten-free/sensitive menu options. This Friday evening's dinner was very good. The menu's got it all...even for the non-sushi eater. We tried 5 different rolls; all were fresh, delicious and presented well. Service was prompt and efficient. After a long day of skiing, we dropped in here and at the hibachi table because that was the only place to get a reservation in this restaurant - I hate waiting for a table. The show is compulsory for a hibachi restaurant (toss food, make flames, play with knives onion volcano, etc). I wouldn't recommend the chicken; Did not have the sushi only the hibachi. Reservation for 9 and ended up a group of 10 people and they hassled us a lot about the extra one person - really? Someone in our group was allergic to shell fish and every hibachi comes with two jumbo shrimp so we said no to the Shrimp - thats 20 Shrimp...

A very good option if you want something different. Sushi was fresh, Chinese dishes were better than average and the service was fast and friendly. We waited for 25 minutes and if you want Hibachi you have to reserve a table. My family and I went here for NYE. It was very full but we got seated right away in the normal sitting area. Make a reservation if you want Hibachi. Sushi was very good, shrimp fried rice was excellent, our service was mediocre. Giving top scores to this Japanese/Thai kitchen. We live in NYC where you don't have to search for delicious Asian cousine for too long. Our expectations were matched! The place has a great / authentic atmosphere, prices are reasonable and the food (especially sushi) is absolutely outstanding. 20-30min wait time expected The food was very good, but the service was a little slow. The prices were fair considering the location. I would recommend if you are looking for chinese/japanese style food and/or like hibachi grills.

This is the second time here in the last five years and both times was very good. I have ordered the steak if you want it medium rare order it rare because if you ordered it medium rare it does get overcooked. I have found this at all Hibachi places. I have to say the shrimp were pretty large very... I ate at the sushi bar. There was a ski apres bar scene but I was hungry and it was too crowed in the bar to try and eat. Staff was friendly and waitress was pleasant although I don't think she had any idea what she was serving me or she could have identified the fish on my plate. In 1995 on a trip to Palau, an Island off the coast of Japan, one of the owners tried sushi and was hooked. He hired a Japanese consultant, Yataka Yoshida of Brookfield, CT and expanded the restaurant by offering sushi. The business has grown with ventures in Manchester VT, Stowe and Killington base lodges. In 1991 the Chinese Gourmet opened as a take-out restaurant in Killington above Zorba’s Mini Mart. Two years later our business grew and we added the dining room. You could enjoy our Chinese food in a sit down environment, unfortunately as some of you remember, all food was served in to-go boxes at tables! That year we removed the to-go boxes for traditional dining ware. Prada is our General Manager here at Sushi Yoshi and she does a fantastic job. She can be seen at Lake George in the Summer and Killington in the winter! Elliot is a familiar face around Sushi Yoshi. He takes care of customers from behind the bar and in front of it! He always will welcome you with a smile.
