I absolutely LOVE the salad dressing, the way the boats come around with fresh sushi & the service. Sushi boat is a must visit!! I heard that this restaurant will randomly choose one day every week for its anniversary celebration appreciation day. Will there be big discount? My friend treated me to have dinner in Sushi Boat today. The serve is friendly and food is very good. I used to eat here all the time. As food quality and service decreased we've went elsewhere more often over the past several years. Owner keeps the tips and the service staff does not get any training at alI now we discovered after asking for a manager after a large order was completely messed up and on another occasion server...
I drive once a week across this city after being introduced to salmon sushi pizza. I have been to many places in Calgary for sushi but NO one does the pizza like these guys. Be forwarded once you start there is no going back lol. Three of us visited for lunch on a Sunday. We arrived just before noon and there was plenty of room at the "boat bar" and we were seated right away. The sushi chefs are in the center of the oval boat track and they make the sushi. The standard items (shrimp, white tuna, mackerel, crispy shrimp rolls, etc.) are placed... I went there craving sushi and I loved that The Sushi Boat has a few very unique items on their menu. My absolute favourite is the Salmon Sushi Pizza! They use a blow touch to make the rice crunchy, a must try you won't be disappointed! Been there every time I visit my friends in Calgary and it is a must sushi place to go. Always fresh and yummy! Great value and comfortable atmosphere! Great place to sit at the bar with a friend and grab a quick bite to eat!
Lots of choices and boat full even during peak times. This sushi place is one of the best I've been to and value is excellent. I really enjoy going here as the ambience of the place is inviting and pleasant. Assorted tempera was great although the pieces were sliced much bigger than I'm used to. The flames combo sushi platter was fresh and tasty but very mild on the spice.
