Great restaurant with tatami rooms, low tables, high tables, sushi bar seating and bar seating. Great vibe, with a great selection of jazz playing. The food is the highest grade as the Sushi Chef Osamu takes the...
By far one of my favorite sushi places in the Tri Cities. Its not the cheapest by any means, but the quality makes up for it. Try the spicy tuna sashimi. It has both heat and sweetness. Its not the standard squeeze of siracha and plate it. The décor is nice and the waitresses are polite and friendlyMy salmon was overly cooked and when I asked them to cook it "properly" the server said "That's how we do it here". She wasn't happy that they had to redo it and didn't even apologize. I watched the rest of my family eat their dinner and by the time they were all done, my food was just... Found the service good and portion size pretty good as well. Find many of the dishes are rather bland. The service was perfect each time we have visited Osamu. The food is consistently excellent. By far the best sushi I have eaten ! The Baked Beach Oysters are a must as are the Chili Prawns. The Tempura is light and perfectly battered without the mouth coating grease of many sushi houses.
We will be back again ...and again. I've been frequenting Osamu's for 15+ years and never been disappointed. The good is always exceptionally good, nightly specials capitalizing on local fresh ingredients and good service in a relaxed atmosphere. I have been trying to find a good sushi place in my neighbourhood for over a year now. Loved the sushi, the atmosphere, and the smiling faces. Highly recommend the salmon sashimi.... It was the perfect temperature, fresh, and had a hint of lemon! We went to this restaurant with my sister and her husband, who are regulars there. They have been raving about the place for some time. Now we know why. Everything we ordered was good, without exception. Although not all the food is "authentically Japanese" (it is more "fusion"). My wife and another lady with us are Japanese, and they enjoyed... I stopped by for lunch with my 7 year old granddaughter that loves sushi. So I sipped here for lunch and her words said it better than I could ever say it "Papa this was the best sushi ever!"
I had to agree as my dish was excellent as was the service. When ever we want high quality sushi we head off to Osamu, it is the best sushi place we have found in the tri-cities. “One of our favourites”Planning a trip to Vancouver?food delivery london e3Find great things to doSushi California /" Log in to leave a tip here.how to make sushi rice with regular vinegarSort: Jessica JungJessica JungMoe ShehataArash NarchiSung ChoiRob Kleine DetersRay CheungGourav ShahMim WiltonJosephine YunPeter ChenBeycan ErbakanSharon Lam ?order sushi online st catharinesFreddy SulbaranJason PhanSamuel OhYan Qing@michaelkwanLuckyangela sJay SuKimberly Nguyen-DonCurtis MIan WalkerPhoebe HsuJackie TangGurjeet SinghJay SuLily L!sushi grade tuna austin

Take advantage of our convenient takeout and treat your family to a feast of Japanese delights in the comfort of your own home. This family run Japanese restaurant is still the bar I use to measure for fresh sashimi and oysters in the tri cities, lower mainland area. I'll be honest, the prices are higher here and portions are not as big but the quality of what you get whether ordered from the sushi bar or the kitchen is consistently excellent.
I've been to many sushi restaurants and this one serves the freshest, best tasting sushi I have ever had. I highly recommend Shaun Sushi Bar! Our family has been to Sushi Bar many times over the last two years. The food is excellent. Though pricier than many other sushi places, this one is authentic quality Japanese (not Korean or Chinese) sushi. This and sushi Kamizato are the two best in the Tri-cities. This place is located across from an auto repair shop and its parking lot shared with the other business. Not exactly what one would associate with good sushi places. But alas, looks can be deceiving and this is the case here. We tried the deluxe Chirashi, the tonkatsu, the prwan tempura, various rolls and the crispy oysters. There are a TON of Japanese restaurants in Port Coqtuitlam however Sushi Bar Shyun is the only authentic Japanese owned and operated restaurant around! Their quality of food is the best and I have friends that come as far as Richmond and West Vancouver to eat there!
