I loved Take Sushi last year and was excited to return this year. I called 2 days in advance and reserved a table for 4. When we arrived, we were told there was no reservation, and that the restaurant does not take reservations. The server took our order fairly quickly, and served the miso soup and edemame rapidly.... I have been to sushi restaurants from California to Massachusetts and this is my favorite place. Small and intimate located on the south side of Atlantic Blvd. Just west of the intracoastal bridge. Too much to say and they offer call in take out as well. Excellent and fresh sushi. This place has been here for over 30 years. It is small cozy place and amazing food!! Fresh sushi with a big local following. Great rolls, typical sushi sides and a decent sake menu. A busy place until the doors close! My wife and I disagree on this one. Frankly, I think it is a parody of a Japanese restaurant. I had a sushi appetizer. The salmon and the tuna were each sliced about a 1/4 inch thick.
I have never seen such a thing. To top that the tuna was so grisly I took some out of my mount. Lived in Pompano for years and no doubt this is still the best sushi in town! It's priced fair and always very fresh!! People come to eat here from other cities because the food really is good!! The dragon rolls are amazing!! Maybe it was the day we went, but the service took forever. We had steamed gyoza and several sushi rolls. I had to ask for water 3 times. Our gyoza arrived with no serving plates and none showed up despite asking. Although there were two of us, the server brought tea and just one cup. The sushi chef was frantically... We have been dining at Take Sushi for about 12 years, Great fresh, clean, family run business! Never had a bad meal or experience! This is my husband's go to sushi place. Once he likes a place. He is loyal and sticks to it - if it ain't broke don't fix it. They offer a super assortment of sushi with a menu board of new items. Sushi is made to order, you can sit at the counter and watch too.

yo sushi voucher july 2012 All of the food I ate was excellent. There is a HUGE selection of sushi to choose from. The hibachi is also excellent. The cook makes it exactly how you like it, and was super sweet in the process! I was so stuffed by the time I left! The pricing is very reasonable, especially for lunch! One thing you need... I can highly recommend it. We were visiting the area and after reading the reviews decided to try it out. We are so glad that we did. We went for lunch on Monday and it was completely worth the price.
Very clean and many options from sushi, Chinese, and Hibachi grill. Foods were fresh and there were many sushi options. We are definitely coming back... We stopped by this restaurant for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! The food was good and fresh and the value was incredible. The selection of items was the best I have ever seen in a Sushi restaurant, with much more offered than sushi. There were 4 adults and we all agreed this restaurant deserves 5 stars. Tucked away in the back corner of a shopping plaza you can see its treasures as you open the door to go in. Giant sushi bar with what looks to be about 100 types of sushi, sashimi, rolls, crab legs, shrimp, muscles & oysters. Salad bar is small in comparison but the hot side... All you can eat sushi, Chinese and hibachi. Great for a fun lunch. Not worth the price. Atmosphere is nice and place seems clean. We provide highest fresh food quality everyday, and 200 items daily, so the price is very worth for it. Large variety seafood and other items that are well made, the beef not so much. Before we went we checked tripadvisor for the reviews as we always do. The reviews where promising so we decided to go. We where pleasantly surprised. First, the restaurant is attractive as soon as you walk in. The main attraction is the large and bountiful rotunda of every kind of sushi and sashimi and raw bar item you can imagine.
