She told me the food was good but I just had to try for myself. The food was good is an understatement. I ordered the Korean bbq burrito, and did it pack a kick. This Restaurant scores very high in all criteria. To point just two, the quality of their seafood and their service. Every time we visited they were pretty full, yet their service was excellent and quick (but not rushed). I always found the waiters to have a good sense of humour yet very respectful. Overall a highly recommended restaurant to anyone... “One of the best” We came here for lunch. Couldn't get a seat near the seaview but the food was awesome. We ordered grilled octopuse and seafood platter with fish, shrimps, and clams. Great experience except the waiter looked kind of pissed of. Definitely recommend this place:-) It was not my first time at this place and, for sure, will not be my last. High quality food, service is really nice and friendly, top location and impressive views and, what is surprising, despite of the location, the price is average. I wouldn´t say cheap, but, definetely not expensive. I would always recommend this place.

Have known this "real" restaurant for many years - it has been consistently excellent with perfect service. Fish in Portugal is amongst the best anywhere, but Mar do Inferno is certainly amongst the best. Their desserts are also particularly good and irresistible. And of course the choice of wine... I popped my head into a couple restaurants before deciding to eat an early dinner with my husband. It was absolutely perfect. The view is magnificent and the food is better. It is so fresh and delicious. I would do anything to go back to this restaurant!!! Most enjoyable experience of my entire trip to Portugal. best in Cascais, a must try, please book in advance, if you like sea food, fresh and authentic. that's the place to go. Apparently the restaurant has great views of the Atlantic. We went at night, so we couldn't see it, but we couldn't certainly hear it. The welcome was very friendly, the food was typically Portuguese, all sorts of grilled fish, shellfish, cataplana etc.

We shared a monkfish rice, which was delicious. We will definitely go back. The seafood selection is really delicious as expected; however the staff unfortunately is lacking friendliness and attentiveness. Maybe the restaurant is so popular, that this is not a requirement. A shame as this would really make a true experience. This is a good restaurant! Excellent view if you seat by the windows, but a little bit noisy if you seat inside. The food is just great and the attention was very good! The only bad thing was the way I was received by the old man who is " helping" drivers to park. He was aggressive and stressed.
