Had a fantastic lunch in this restaurant. The food was authentic and very fresh. I had a sushi set and my friend had a sashimi on rice set. Each piece of fish had a taste of freshness, while the rice was at perfect temperature and seasoned perfectly with vinegar. Would definitely come back again and may try the dinner also. This is the worst experience I had for any Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong. They have no waiting policy and just pick customers randomly who wait outside the door. The proper policy is to mark the name of each customer for queuing. 首次光顧這日本餐廳,到達餐廳已是2點了, 座滿一半人的午餐時段,要盡快點選食物, 因2點半便停止接受下單了我選了雜錦刺身定食忘記了價錢, 大約是$220吧八款中只有六款是刺身, 其餘是蛋與蟹柳及似是魚籽三文魚一般, 非肥美口感吞拿魚有少許筋,立魚就是沒有很鮮明的魚味吞拿魚腩不怎麼肥, 所以留在口腔內的魚油很快消失還有應該是油甘魚吧, 質素還可以~ 鮮還有芥辣也是新鮮即磨的這才是高級日本餐廳所見的細節配以日本米飯實在滿足的一頓午餐另一款是牛肉鍋飯牛肉大大塊, 口感很豐滿加入生雞蛋拌勻吃最佳另有沙律拌豆腐, 開胃前菜日式蒸蛋很有誠意, 蛋內配料十足而且蛋滑麵豉湯也不錯最後有咖啡或日式雪糕, 當日是紅豆味, 大大粒紅豆日式的雪糕一向好味無須多介紹不要在大部分的日式餐廳預期有即磨咖啡, 有咖啡已算很齊全的午餐了

I was seated at the sushi bar. The decor is really simple. Nothing pretentious at all. Somewhat bright lighting and sort of cluttered. We had the pleasure of personally being served by the owner here and I promise you having traveled around the world this was some of the best Sushi I ever had. I've heard great things about this restaurant and decided to come for lunch. This is as authentic as Japanese food in HK gets. The lunch menu was great and do try the omakase if you have the time. The chef recommends a great assortment of fresh fish. Always book in advance to secure your table as this place is so popular! This was like adding insult to injury in a place that was overrated and overpriced. There are way better and more... This place looked closed but we could see diners eating through the slatted blinds and once inside, it's busy but very authentically Japanese, with nice ambiance. The food was fresh and well prepared but we thought quite pricy. All the comments from bellow are true. Sashimi was fresh and very tasty. Upon my visit they had a special sashimi option which was an interesting new experience, baby tuna. Location: I found it a bit tricky to find. there are almost no clear signs,the doors are wooden slidedoors so do not be affraid to just move them. It Hidden place in a blind street, you got to know it to go there. Quiet atmosphere, right after you get a seat the show begins. One of the best sushi experiences of my life. Granted, the prices are dear but what else would you expect with the finest ingredients. If you sit at the sushi bar allow Kenjo to do his magic and you won't be disappointed. I come here once or twice a year, whenever I'm in town. Just ordered a good selection of sushi for lunch today. The sushi rice was perfect - good balance of sharpness and sweetness, and every grain was discernible. The mid fatty toro melted in the mouth. And everything was consistently good.
