Was recently visiting friends in Harvard (they felt sorry for me because I hadn't been out of the city for months!). When they asked "do you want to go to the General Store?" "I am SO happy with my experience with Edible Arrangements in Londonderry NH. This was among the worst companies I have EVER dealt with. I came for lunch with a friend who said this was her favorite restaurant. She got some shrimp and pasta dish that she seemed to love, and I thought my lobster roll was excellent. I will definitely return when I'm in the mood for seafood. We had a fantastic lunch - we had baked haddock and seared Ahi sandwich. Also had wonderful butternut squash and Brussels sprouts as a side - absolutely delish - we highly recommend Fishbones and will be back again soon!
The lobster roll was delicious. Very clean New England style restaurant. I'll have to try the fish n' chips next time I'm in town! This is a decent place to eat, but definitely not stellar and pricey for an average meal. I expected better for seafood-specific restaurant charging $20+/plate. Had their maple glaze salmon dish, which was pretty good, but nothing I'd rave about, which with the dish cost, left me underwhelmed. I've had better salmon for far less. The restaurant has a nice...Just passing through town. Wish I was here for dinner! I've been to many restaurants all across the USA but I can honestly say this is the best day far. I live in Philadelphia but not a day goes by I don't think about this place. If I was closer I would eat here every day. Best food and atmosphere I've ever experienced!!!!! Have had a couple of successful dinners at Fishbones and opted to try it for lunch today. It was not overly crowded and we were seated right away. The server brought us drinks and was very laid back as we were too chatty to make and immediate decision on what to order.
Today's lunch specials were a shrimp stir fry... We were in town and wanted to find someplace with good seafood. Navigated to Fishbones as it was close to our hotel. Friendly attentive server who recommended a few items, I ordered the grilled seafood platter and my husband had the fried seafood platter. The pleasant surprise was a pumpkin risotto on the menu. The seafood was good, but the... Another "Fish" restaurant that fails to make the fish the star. Have been to so many fish restaurants that just don't make the grade when creating dishes. This is just another to ad to that list. Noisy atmosphere, not very spacious for seating, and the food was luke-warm when delivered to the table. An out of towner's first time visit and I've very much wanted some seafood. I found Fishbones on a quick search and was glad I did. I tried the clam chowder and a kitchen special 'baked haddock'. Both were delicious, hot and very filling. Can't want to go back. You are hereHomeHandbooksJapanese grocery store list

Bento fans should also check Where and how to buy bento boxes and equipment on our sister site, Just Bento. A frequently heard lament: Help! I can't find [insert Japanese ingredient] at an Asian store! A general Asian grocery store/supermarket is not the same as a Japanese grocery store. Most large general Asian stores are Chinese-focused (e.g. Paristore in France), or Korean-focused (e.g. H-Mart in the U.S.). This means that they only have limited shelf space for Japanese food. Yes, there is a difference between the cuisines! For the best selection of Japanese groceries, go to the stores that are specified as being Japanese. (Two chains with supermarket-level stores are Mitsuwa and Marukai in the U.S. Seattle-area mini-chain Uwajimaya also has supermarket-sized stores.) Your second choice is Korean stores, who usually stock a large selection of Japanese foods.
Chinese focused groceries generally only carry a small selection of Japanese food, and may even carry pretending-to-be-Japanese-but-really not food (such as snacks with odd Japanese on them). See this article about where to get Japanese foodstuffs for more. This is a rapidly growing set of lists of Japanese grocery stores around the world. Ambitious yes, but with the help of Just Hungry readers, we hope to put together a definitive collection of lists. This is definitely a work in progress - please bookmark it and check back often. Note that Korean and Chinese groceries are also noted sometimes, since they often carry a lot of Japanese ingredients. This is a list put together by you, the reader We need your help!
