every place has a slightly different spin on sushi etc. (yanagi was hoppin' too though the other night.) while this is generally not my 1st pick place,... Great food, great service! Love the Bento Box for lunch, my son likes the sushi. My friend Mac an I go to Yanagi often. I also love the salt water fish tanks! If you go solo it's fun to watch the fish. Great spot for family sushi. Lots of interesting dishes are available in the extensive menu. Service was very good and waitress took her time to answer questions and provide recommendations. Not particularly authentic Japanese food, but wonderfully tasty selections to please everyone in a large group. We really enjoyed this place and will go back again. Went here with friends and family for birthday dinner. Was able to make reservations, and we sat at a semi private table in the back. They serve sushi and Korean food, both good. We had sushi and bibimbap and short ribs. They also have kids' options. They overheard it was my birthday, and sang and brought out a dessert and...
Sushi good service awful you can't get a refill of any thing need a drink you have to bother the kids talking that really don't wait on you been here before, disappointed this time. very noisy, had WOK Tables. Ordered fresh oysters, too spicy. ordered an Albacore Roll, not very tasty. split a Sashimi order: 8 pieces between Tuna and Salmon and they charged me for the higher price of the 2. they have done better. If you want a lot of poor quality fish get it here. The use lots of a spicer oil to cover up the no taste fish. I have to sa not a quality sushi. The give you a lot but after tasting it I wanted very little This review is for the non sushi items on the menu. I went with a group and ordered non-sushi (chicken teriyaki) and others in my group ordered Korean and other non Sushi Japanese item. The food was decent but not anything to write home about. The service was good tho. I've visited this restaurant many times, usually with a very good impression. This review relates to a single unpleasant experience that may alert diners to some inconsistencies in an otherwise splendid small Japanese restaurant.
