White River Fish Market is a Tulsa landmark. The location is off the beaten path but worth the trip. True to the name the establishment is in fact a fish market where you can purchase a wide variety of seafood. I suggest you also try something from the menu. The food is constantly good! The grilled salmon is outstanding and I have purchased fresh salmon to take home as well on many occasions. Excellent quality, great sides as well. There is always a line and tables fill up fast but it is worth it! “Best seafood in Tulsa” Yes, the food is fresh and tasting. But this is not an intimidatingly dark and expensive-looking place. This is a first class seafood place for all the rest of us. When we have clients that come to Tulsa and we want to show them a real "local" place, we take them to White River. First, it is great food.
Second, it is efficient. Even with a line out the door, it takes very little time to order, get a table and then be served. Finally, it is authentic. It's my go to fish market and restaurant when I'm in town. The MahiMahi is to die for. Excellent catfish and oysters as well. I tell everyone about this place. Very unassuming digs, but the food and customer service are better than some 5-star restaurants. Great fresh seafood in a simple setting. You order at a refrigerated display case, pay, & they bring it to you when ready They not only sell fresh seafood here, they cook it! Looks like a seafood market with metal chairs and tables. Many times you may share table with other diners, but that is part of the fun. Met some really nice people there tonight. The food is mostly fried, but good. If ever in Tulsa again, we'll be by. White River Fish Market is a great place to sit down and eat or you can purchase fresh seafood and take it home and cook it. They have great lobster on Tues and Wed.
