Zen Fish, a poké restaurant, will open this fall in Durham’s Ninth Street area. So what is poké? It is a Hawaiian dish with marinated raw fish and a variety of toppings, including a greens, rice, edamame and scallions. Zen Fish will offer both poké bowls and salads, along with sushi burritos filled with seaweed, sushi-grade rice, meats, vegetables and sauces. Owner Janet Lee says in a press release that Zen Fish will be the first restaurant in the Triangle to specialize in Poké. (Other places to try poké include Raleigh Raw in downtown Raleigh, TASU in Brier Creek and SHIKI Sushi in Southpoint.)The restaurant will be located in the Solis Ninth Street complex, which will include 229 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space at the corner of Ninth and Green streets.
