Came here with my son for a belated Christmas dinner since he worked on Christmas. We got there right when it opened, seated in the back where it was quiet, was quickly met by a waitress, she took our order and right when we got our first order of rolls it seemed like the entire restaurant filled up instantly! We found the restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to go for dinner based on the reviews. The menu had a great variety. Prices were what you would expect for sushi in this area of Capitola. Service was good considering how crowded it was. We had no problem with the wait as we could slow down and just enjoy each others... We have been to Sushi Garden several times for dinner and always have been pleased and satisfied. First and foremost, every dish we have ordered has been delicious and beautifully presented. Mediocre food and service. The tempura was greasy and the salmon overcooked. The box provided at lunch comes with a limp salad and dreadful sushi pieces. While the lunch was only $12, cheap for a sushi place, the quality was really lacking. Also, because I had been there before, I knew to ask for the edamame free intro to the... We have been here many times. The staff is amazing and fun! The food is so wonderful!! and the Grinch is the BEST!!! Great Sashimi- hidden gem was so much better than expected! I met my son here for dinner on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 and the place was packed. I was kind of surprised because this place has been around for awhile and I haven't heard much about it.
