Reservations are not always necessary but are recommended.Cocoa sour cream layer cake with chocolate cheesecake buttercream and raspberries A light and spongy cake that is perfect for that chocolate craving. Pistachio and lemon curd layer cake Pistachio + Lemon = Amazing. How did I not know this earlier? This deliciously moist cake was lightly tangy and had an intense nutty flavour.
Goats’ curd cheesecake tart with a toasted hazelnut crust and cherry compote After eating this I realised that loving goats cheese and goats curd in a savoury form does not mean that I will love it in a sweet form. It just didn’t taste quite right. Baked and brûléed caramel cheesecake with a cocoa cookie crust Crunchy caramelised topping, dense sugary cheesecake, tasty cookie crust. Beatrix is a cake lover’s dream. It’s a place where the cakes are baked with love and have a homemade quality to them. sushi kan ottawa store hoursI seriously wanted to order one of everything but the slices here are decently sized and we could barely finish what we ordered. sushi grade salmon costcoService was cheery however seating is limited (as this place is teeny-tiny). jiro dreams of sushi port
Note that this place is closed on Mondays and Sundays. 688 Queensberry St, North Melbourne, VIC (organic croissant, soft boiled egg, chilli fried potatoes, Asian tabouli, fish and potato fritter) (bircher muesli mixed berries, coconut chia pudding and clustered granola, boiled egg, sourdough toast) (with lemon curd, grapes, banana, almond flakes, raspberry jelly, agave syrup and crispy bacon) (rice pudding with chilli chicken curry, spicy onion relish and an Asian pretzel)genki sushi menu kapolei (chopped roti, vegetables, spices, fried egg)mikuni sushi online store (three plain hoppers with dhal, coconut sambol and chilli onion)jiro dreams of sushi titulky cz Monsieur Truffe 70% Hot Chocolate
Rich and velvety, one of my favourite hot chocolates at the moment. If you are looking for a unique brunch menu, look no further than Pavlov’s Duck! The Sri Lankan inspired dishes here are bold, full of flavour and wonderfully plated. Service was down to earth, and the warehouse-like space is typical of a hipster brunch place. A hoppers making station can also be found at the front so you can watch your hoppers being freshly made. In any case, I’m coming back for the hot chocolate. 401 Smith St, Fitzroy, VIC Bacalhau ravioli with broad beans, capers and dill A pretty yet unmemorable dish. Fried calamari, dried oregano, rocket, garlic aioli Light crispy batter, fantastic use of oregano. Truffled potato dauphine, truffle pecorino Golden balls of fluffy potato that practically melt in your mouth! I couldn’t eat very many though as they were quite rich. Pan fried potato gnocchi, roasted pumpkin, walnuts, dolce blue, spinach Rockling fillet, peas, goats curd, roasted fennel
The food was good but I was expecting amazing after reading all the positive reviews about this place. The decor was sleek however all the tables were positioned quite close to one another due to the venue being so small. Service was fine except there was one particular waiter who kept on wanting to clear our plates even though we hadn’t finished. 171 Bay St, Port Melbourne, VIC Toasted muesli, baked granny smith, lemon thyme yoghurt The steaming hot apple was nicely unexpected however the muesli to yoghurt ratio could have been improved (more yoghurt, less muesli). Fried eggs, harissa baked beans, braised greens, whipped feta, flat bread, olives, hash browns Fantastic combination of flavours with the whipped feta being the highlight. Hash brown, baby spinach, poached eggs, bacon, hollandaise A reasonable dish that could have been bigger in terms of portion size. Spanikopita, ricotta, mixed greens, dill, feta, poached egg, with hash browns on the side
With flakey delicate pastry and a tasty ricotta filling, there was a lovely homemade quality about the spanikopita. Pan fried ricotta gnocchi, broccolini, garden peas, lemon, fresh ricotta, chilli Fresh and zesty with delicious light clouds of gnocchi. Pleasant staff, warm atmosphere and quality food with a beautiful deli at the front. Whatever you decide to order, make sure you get a side of their fantastic hash browns! 251 Brunswick St, Fitzroy, VIC (hard boiled eggs, cheese, mayonnaise, tomato, beetroot, spinach, capsicum) The freshly baked bagel was simply outstanding. Salt stick with cream cheese and cucumber This may not look or sound very special but out of everything we sampled, this was actually my favourite. The lightly salted bread was perfect and worked fabulously with the cream cheese and cucumber. (Polish dumplings that contained potato, cheese, spinach) These smelt delicious and were pleasantly crispy on the outside, however the filling was somewhat lacking.
If only these dumplings were served with some kind of sauce. The light cheesecake and the decadent chocolate cherry layer were nice separately but sensational together. I’m not an expert in babka, so I wasn’t sure if the dry crumbly texture was intentional or not. European doughnut with plum jam Wonderfully soft and fluffy with a slight yeasty taste. The bread here is AMAZING! And with more than 50 types of Polish and European breads available, there is something suitable for everyone! With so many menu items on offer and such friendly service, I can see myself returning over and over again. Polish Rye Crust Bakery 101-103 Foster St, Dandenong, VIC Baked eggs with spicy beans and lentils, fresh herb salad, lemon labne and dukkah served with toasted sourdough The fresh chilli gave this dish a nice kick! Quinoa, charred corn and zucchini fritters, shaved fennel, watercress, fresh herbs, sumac dressing, dukkah, poached egg The fritters were good but the real highlight was the amazing salad and dressing.
Sticky ham hock, fresh Asian herbs, chilli, black vinegar, tamarind hollandaise, and poached eggs on toasted sourdough The ham hock was fall-apart-tender and the hollandaise extremely delectable, however this was quite a heavy dish and was a struggle to finish. One quarter of the brioche french toast special We were too full to order individual desserts so we decided to share the french toast amongst the four of us. What came as a surprise was that the chef took the time and effort to divide up the dish and had plated it up on four separate plates! Thoughtful service aside, this dish was delicious! A delightful gem of a place that stood out not only because of the food, but also the terrific service. The staff were super friendly and we felt very welcome right from the get-go. The only downside about Cheerio is its tiny size and limited seating, so there may be a bit of a wait during peak times. 323 Lennox St, Richmond, VIC Do you like getting free stuff?
