My grandchildren love sushi and Sumo had everything they like. We had quite a few selections and we even had a few of the combination bento boxes. The service was great. A friend recommended this place so we stopped in for lunch. The lunch combos were fabulous. They have many selections on the menu to meet the taste needs of all. They have sushi also. I was able to order a glass of wine. The service was very good. All of us decided on the 3 item Bento box lunch. What a good choice! We each were given miso soup to start. The box came with salad, rice, and a dollop of wasabi and ginger. Several of us selected 2 different fish sashimi and a sushi roll of our choice. Each sashimi came on a bed... “Sushi, sashimi, and rolls” This is our go to restaurant. The sushi is always fresh and the presentation is very appealing to the eye. My personal favorite roll is the HOT roll. I get this every time I go. The bento box lunch and dinners are delicious. We go once or twice a month and have been doing this for the last 5 years...

The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly We had an average family dinner here. We tried their sushi, and several rolls. The were fine, but most of the rolls included tempura. It was my first visit. They put on quite a show cooking the food in front of you. The chef we had really included us in his routine. It was a riot! I got the filet and he cooked it perfectly. I would definitely do this again. Great rolls at the best price especially happy hour but even normal prices are 30% less for same type of rolls love it.

The best happy hour beer and sushi. Sushi is half off for happy hour so come here to get your fix! We were sad when 71 Palm closed as it was the best restaurant in Ventura and a great place to watch the sunset. While it's different in terms of both the vibe and the cuisine, in short time the Rhumb Line has become our new default. The staff in this location is absolutely phenomenal... I would like to say that Keana, Christy, Tina, Erica, Julie, Keith, Hap, Aaron, Dean, Ronnie are all a solid 10 in their fields. Not since the closing of our beloved peiranos has there been so much attention to the dining experience at this end of town. An example of the unexpected but amazing experience... The steak and eggs shows a skirt steak on the menu... Yet they serve it with filet mignon... while I'm sure they make every effort to stay in business and be profitable is very obvious to me they're not in the business of cutting corners or shorting the experience. A quality experience in a quality place with quality people ......the trifecta of a great day.
