It's a basic rule that we (and the Health Department) take very seriously. We DO reserve the right to deny service to any/all customers who refuse to comply. No shirt, no shoes, no service. Just keep 'em on! Reasonable prices , and good for groups Location is very desirable The sushi is amazing here. I would highly recommend the veggie delight. You get essentially everything PLUS the sweet potato tempura - the real reason to come here. Don't forget to get a few mochi balls, too! We had sushi rolls, salad, and udon soup. Compared to other sushi restaurants we've eaten at (and we like sushi) this was at best "so so". Sushi had nice presentation but was bland, almost tasteless. Udon soup was definitely watery and bland. I went to Sumo for the first time in years with a girlfriend. The sushi was actually very good (I didn't remember it being good before), but the bowls and plates seem like they need updating. I would get carry out another time but wouldn't really want to eat off those utensils again. Our go to sushi place! This is the best Sushi place around. I do carry out several times a month. They are always great about special requests and sushi tastes just as good to go! It's a sushi shop on main street. There sushi is generally quite good, but it's not on the same level as Clawson's Noble Fish. The ambience, however, of this quaint sushi shop is quite nice. Very overrated place to get sushi. The servers always make you feel rushed. Also the sushi rice is not well prepared at all, definitely could use a good cleaning too Laid back atmosphere and good food. Actually crave a couple of my favorites. Not a big sushi consumer but this is where I go when I want sushi. My sisters and I meat here every few months for a sister date. It is definitely the best sushi around. I recommend the Veggie Lava or the Heaven (tempura) meals. Their ginger salad dressing is fabulous and their miso soup tastes very good. Cute and cozy sushi restaurant in downtown Rochester. Love their tofu and egg bibimbap and get it just about every time.
