I am comparing with conveyor sushi places in Western Washington; well, since Hawaii is more expensive on the whole, the price may be not that bad. You can also order off the menu if you don't see what... Been here so many times, good food and helpful staff. Just few things to improve, the waiting can be long especially when they are busy, longest we waited was at least 40 mins. They should of add more seating or have more space so they can accommodate the customers. Need to upgrade the seat its filthy. Utensils are dirty too... Pretty awesome sushi experience. You can order Freshwe items from menu, but overall very cool dine in and good selection on the conveyor belt. sushi hong kong bambergNot the best tasting sushi, but still worth a check out!!sushi grade fish saskatoon If there is sushi on your mind....hit Genki Sushi in Kahului!! We have been going there for 7 years now and will continue to go for as long as they are there and have great food.
It's a wonderful experience and a lot of fun. The choices are amazing and there is a huge variety of really good sushi. My entire family and I absolutely love the sushi served at Genki restaurants and have been to the establishments on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island many times. We always look forward to going, and generally order several sushi rolls and have several more from the conveyor. It's fun to watch them make it fresh in front of you! We've been here many times as my partner likes it. It's okay if you want sushi but are on a budget and don't mind poor service. Last night I ordered four dishes when we sat down initially. Two were not available. The first dish to come was not fresh. Not fresh sushi is not a good thing. Food was good interesting there was a conveyor belt going through the restaurant with food on it you can grab as you want it... kind of weird how long was that food on there!?! Prices determined by plate color that's different server was unable to get our bills correct without going through each of our orders again..
We had dinner at Genki Sushi on a Friday night. It took a little while to get seated. We wanted to sit in a booth instead of the chairs facing the conveyor belt where all the sushi are placed. It's best to order your sushi with your server that way you know it is fresh. Especially if you It was... the prices are great... very cheap.... but with these cheap prices comes cheap service.. and not so great sushi.. its like the McDonalds of any sushi restaurant.. i really don't have much to say about this place.. its just not good. i rather just buy sushi from the super market. Not that tasty would go elsewhere. Sushi rice had a weird flavour. Teriyaki chicken was very salty. Couldnt wait to leave. Pretty nasty sushi mostly having to be ordered as the conveyer belt options are sparse. That said if you just need to quickly feed your kids and you order / choose carefully it is OK. Our ordered plates arrived with a few tiny ants hanging on - brushed them away. It's all protein anyway, right?
There seemed to be a... This place is a conveyor belt type sushi bar which is my favorite way to have sushi. If you aren't seeing what you want coming by on the belt, ask the staff and they are fast ordering it and getting it to you. We went at a slow time of day and the food was quite fresh. Very cool place to eat. Dishes travel along a conveyor belt past each table.... You just grab what you want! Ahi was very fresh, rolls were ok, gyoza wasn't awesome. Quick place to eat and was fun for our little family. Conveyor belt sushi place, nothing special. But absolutely friendly service, decent food, and great prices. If you have kids or if you just want a decent, cheap lunch, go for it. Went to Genki because of a recommendation and I would not go back. The sushi on the conveyor belt looked like it was nine years old and almost certainly promised diarrhea. As for the sushi off the menu, it was a little better but still disappointing. I had high hopes that were crushed and would rather go hungry than go...
Food travels along a conveyor belt and you just grab what you want, then you are charged based on the color of the plates you select. However, you do have the option of ordering from the menu and have your order prepared fresh which is exactly what we did. The food was decent but the crab meat in the California... The sushi isn't gourmet quality but neither is the price. The real appeal of the restaurant is the conveyor belt of sushi that parades past your table continuously throughout the meal. Many of the family favorites and some a bit off the beaten path. 9 of us (including 2 kids) had dinner for under $100. Very family friendly and if... Food is always delicious & fresh! Friendliness & helpfulness is always lacking in the employees!!! I wish the manager would retrain them in customer service etiquette so the service would match the food!!! At one time we could enjoy this restaurant regularly. Regular shifts and managers. However, lately we find the presentation and service in need of help.
