I tried this place a few months ago and don't understand all of the rave reviews. The sushi is just average, but the place is so dark that it is very hard to read the menu unless you bring a flashlight or sit at a table next to the window. In other words, if you want some place to hide... My friends recommended this to us so we figured we would try it. We went for dinner and figured it would be really expensive but it wasn't at all. They have a dinner meal of 3 rolls for only $13. It was so tasty! We will definitely be back! Passing through Slidell and found this place via TripAdvisor. Our group got several rolls (including the Summer Roll and Sexy Roll), calamari appetizer, fried rice, and bento box. Everything was very fresh and tasted great. We don't get to Slidell often, but this sushi restaurant ranks among our new favorites in the metro area. We have been here a few times and always enjoy the tuna tataki for an app. We have had a few different sushi rolls there because we order off the specials board.
Even if we are not sure what they are the staff has always been helpful explaining. I will defiantly go back and certainly suggest the Tuna app. Start with the good - I ordered the Bento dinner box with Chicken Teriyaki and Sushi. You start with the typical miso soup and green leaf salad with ginger dressing - both were good, although the salad was very wet (not from the dressing but from moisture). I'm pretty lenient with an inaccurate server whom tells the kitchen ALL the orders wrong. That doesn't bother me much. What bothers me is what's in the pics.
