We have been to Makoto numerous times since moving to the Okanagan. The food and service are consistently top-notch. Just enjoyed a lovely meal with my daughter, enjoying tempura, sushi and gyoza, and the ambience was great too. We will definitely be back for more. Had take-out and our order was ready in 20 minutes as promised. There was only a couple of tables seated when I got there for pickup, yet there was a few tables that still had dirty dishes on them. That would be a turnoff for me if I was dining in. However, our sushi was quite good, the udon, tempura... Visited Makoto Sushi twice and both times we were very impressed with the quality of food and service. One time it was quite busy but the young lady server did a great job serving us and the kitchen/sushi bar was able to keep up with the orders. The tempura udon was great. The combo dishes were reasonably priced and fresh.... We come here every week! Have tried others but keep coming back. Best food - best service - best prices!

The restaurant is cozy and spacious, with a plus of a nice patio in the warmer months. The food is always presented nicely, fresh, and great!! Highly recommended for lunch, dinner, or even for a snack. I'll definitely be back! Had a wonderful meal with my family last night. We sat on the patio and Josh, our waiter, was excellent and so friendly. We will definitely return. Away from downtown area, always able to sit down right away and get a table, good hours too. lots of different rolls and great service. Our rule of thumb is never to eat sushi outside of the lower mainland. However, we went to this restaurant based on some TripAdvisor reviews (thanks all), and we were not disappointed!!! Not only was the food great, but the chef was very accommodating. For that my children were extremely thankful. Really enjoy stopping into pick up dinner, or dine in with the family. The food is always great and I really enjoy the staff. I love that they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
