The restaurant is really posh and the food is amazing, especially some of their specialty rolls and salads. A bit on the pricey side but worth the splurge. Kampai tastiest sushi ever, best quality and variety in town, well experimented staff, excellent location, best tempura and salmon salad . It's good Japanese food and menu diversity, but restaurant could do with better service at the door with a less rude host / hostess, with a less singing cooking crew, and with a faster / more helpful waiters. Too bad the reputation is overrated and has been dwindling while it still claims to be the top Japanese restaurant in down.... Kampai is definitely a great sushi place (not my favorite though) but i highly recommend it. The place is so nice and very nicely lit, the staff are helpful and positive and the sushi is delicious.

We were 4 so we ordered several appetizers and sushi and everything was great except for the black cod. It is not very tender... I really like the sushi and maki here! The food preparation was really nice and it was very tasty. The price is very affordable.
