I wrote a review in 2012, and continue to come to Ichiban on my annual trip to what is now the largest cat show on the East Coast. Service is good and fast, despite near to full house. The fish for the sushi and sashimi is fresh. The only slight comment would be they sliced my mochi up into two pieces while serving. Would have preferred it as one whole piece to keep the ice cream from melting.

The restaurant is clean and... The sashimi was very fresh. The soy paper Ichiban Roll was excellent. Prices were reasonable and service was good. Maybe it's not the same as the few sushi places I have been to in NYC or Fort Lee or Hoboken, but it's close enough. We've tried them all and there is just no comparison to Ichiban. Fresh delicious fish and the most artistic presentation we've seen on any Japanese restaurant. I could go on and on. Nice quiet non-assuming little restaurant. The sushi was great and the Katsu was done to perfection. The waitress was very helpful and the food was very good. Very Fresh, Very Good Sushi and Sashimi.
