ichiban sushi menu and price

(click a category to browse prices) join the mailing list Aside from one long meal on a Sunday at the Hibachi, this has been our consistent go to for sushi and we pretty much sit in the front sushi bar area. Like the vibe, service is good, sushi and rolls fresh, tempura app nicely done and drink selection is good in the beer range. With a fair amount of sushi... Very fresh, very tasty sushi. I had the snowcrab salad which is best in town. The tuna sashimi was delicate and very fresh. And it was happy hour with Ichiban draft beer which is hard to find. I've been to just about all the other places in town, this one is the best hands down. Gets really crowded on weekends,be prepared to sit very close to other people if you are seated in the back of the restaurant. I have never had the Hibachi but I have heard that it is very good. My favorites include the Ichiban roll, fire in the hole (very spicy with fresh jalapeños), and the baked salmon appetizer (shown in pic).

Oh and the Apple Martinis aren't horrible :-) We had the hibachi lunch and it was delicious and affordable. I look forward to dining there again soon. I've been dining at Ichiban for years now. I think that, within itself, says a hell of a lot. They're consistent, always fresh, offer good service, a nice tap beer selection, and a diverse menu. I always sit at the sushi bar (ask for Mario, tell him Tyler sent you). And I always get the He-Roll with tempura shrimp substituted... Ichiban is easily one of the best sushi restaurants of the greater Baton Rouge area. The ambience is so nice, the staff are friendly, and the food is great. Ichiban is all about presentation and full flavor. You can sit at the sushi/hibachi area and catch a great art show as the sushi masters slice and dice and flip to... Visited with a good friend over a leisurely lunch. Seating was immediate, staff were friendly and attentive, and the sushi was wonderful. Definitely try the "fire in the hole roll"--you will not be disappointed!

I am an acquaintance with the owner's wife, but when I heard this was opening I was sort of excited because this side of town is sorely in need of some new places. "I have eaten here three times since it opened a couple of weeks ago. The decor is beautiful.
