The service was excellent, the drinks were cold and the sushi was fresh. We really enjoyed the caterpillar, crazy crazy and hokkage rolls. They were all amazing. We also ordered hotate nigiri and salmon sashimi and both were perfection! Many dishes to choose from and very good sushi. The dishes are huge, you will no go away hungry One of my favorite restaurants in Lodi, have been coming here for years. It is a family run restaurant and the sushi and bento boxes are my favorite.

I highly recommend Haruka:) On July 6th we went to the new Haruka Japanese restaurant in Granite Bay, CA. The restaurant is decorated nicely in the expected Japanese modern style. There were very few other diners when we arrived at 6 o'clock. The first weirdness occurred when the drink orders arrived. I was served an over sized bottle of Kirin beer without a glass,... Came here last light for dinner with my mother, brother, aunt and uncle. Anyways, we arrived sometime after 7:30 pm on a Tuesday and the place was pretty much empty (just 2 other tables besides ours). This is what I had: Tofu Teriyaki Entree- ($8.50 prior to tax) This entree comes with a small bowl of white rice and a... Stayed at a hotel close by.We had a lovely meal, great service and very well priced. Very clean and Highly recommendable. This was a great dining experience. The sashimi and sushi were so fresh. We also loved the pot stickers, tempura and the steak teriyaki was excellent. The location is in an ugly and boring strip mall with other low-end stores.

However, once inside the restaurant it is surprisingly attractive. Our waiter is one of the owners and he went out... Locals have recommended Haru as a great sushi joint. So my wife and I decided to give it a try. The food was horrible. Please do not premake tempura shrimp for it makes the whole roll taste stale! There were only two table tops being served at that time. Couldn't they at least make a fresh sushi roll? The waiters are friendly and service is great. The food is fresh and very tasty. The portions are generous. I've never been here before but decided to go after reading the online reviews (#2 Restaurant in Lodi). I was expecting this dining experience to be a good one and it was. I ordered three different rolls and they were all fresh, tasty, and presented well. The service was attentive, professional, and friendly. The value is appropriate.
