Since my friend was parking the car, they wouldn't let us be seated, which I do understand due to the size of the restaurant. When she arrived they sat us right... Its going to have a line outside of the restaurant and its very very small. There is only one table for 5 people and the rest is a bar (only 4 people) and about four tables of 4 people. This place has great quality sushi for cheap. Since its cheap, they don't make anything pretty or nice. Sushi and sashimi are consistently well above average. Prices are among the lowest I've seen in the East Bay. That combination makes Geta unbeatable, in my opinion.No money wasted on decor. If you don't get there for dinner at, or right before, opening expect to stand outside. They are just so busy... Not much room to sit down here but the food is fantastic. A lot of people use take-out. The wait can be long. We tried the chef's sashimi selections as well as several rolls. The service was fast and friendly. Run by a Japanese family and frequented by many Japanese people.

I lived in Japan for 8 years and travel there several times a year. Run of the mill sushi in Tokyo is about the same level as the best sushi you'll find in the US. So I am evaluating this as a US sushi restaurant. The place is a tiny hole in the wall.... Geta Sushi is located in what used to be a very small copy store. The kitchen is where the large duplicator USED to be, and the few tables are arranged around it. Don't let this discourage you though - or the lines stretching outside.
