Outstanding food, portion size and servi ...Outstanding food, portion size and service! Was this review useful to you?YesNoReport555It was my first time at this location an ...It was my first time at this location and it was ok. The crispy spinach appetizer is my favorite!

YesNoReport5454It is really a good thing that the food ...It is really a good thing that the food is good because the service has been less than adequate the past couple of experiences. I am not sure what is happening with Ghenki at Prado but some serious training needs to take place. I ordered the Matua Sauvignon Blanc and the waitress returned saying that it was out but recommended the Geyser Peak. I agreed to try it. She returned again saying that was also out. Two wined on your menu are out? This is poor ordering by management to start with and the fact that your servers don't know what is and is not available before the shift or throughout is really poor communication. What was even more bothersome was that it took a long time between being told the first wine was out to get to be told the second wine was out and then order a Pinot Grigio that took a long time to get. We sat for almost 20 minutes before I actually got my wine. The server knowing that I had already missed two options should have made my order a priority.

Her answer to combat the embarrassment of not having both wines was to overfill my glass. I get the response but it wasn't really the answer now was it. Food was good as usual! Work on the service and clean your fish tanks and you will be a bigger hit.YesNoReport4333Good experience and Great Food!We had a very good experience. It started off on the wrong note in that our waitress did not know our table had been seated for a while when she showed up, but once we told her -- she more than made up for it in the outstanding service she provided. In addition, the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back!YesNoReport544Easy breezy sushiIt's an easy place to grab sushi. It is not the best sushi I ever had and the rolls are pretty thin, but it's never full and there's plenty of parking in the garage in the back. They have good lunch specials, too. I like the Himalayan Roll. I asked to exchange cucumber for the usual asparagus the roll comes with, and add masago. I was charged for both requests, which was a bit weird.

Service is good and fast.YesNoReport333Horrible service as alwaysI don't know how this place stays in business! The food is decent, but the service is horrendous. The place was practically empty, and we still had to get up and hunt down service whenever we needed anything. And they don't seem to care. I mentioned at one point that the chicken in my noodle bowl was ridiculously thin and all breaking, and the waitress just responded with "that's how it is" and walked away. I've given it a few shots because it's so close, but never again.YesNoReport341Annoying and ridiculous up charges for brown riceI go to Genki because they make sushi with brown rice. I do think it is ridiculous that they charge an extra fee for the brown rice. This is ridiculous customer service. The one or two dollars annoys people… So why do it? This time around I do not think the fish was as fresh as normal. The ambience is nice and it is a very quiet restaurant.YesNoReport243Food was a let downMy friend and I split the pork steamed gyoza which was hard and dried out.

My salmon sashimi had hard brown spots on the edges of the fish. My friend told me that her sushi roll was sub-par. I do want to go back and try their noodle bowls but I will never order sushi here again. The Cheese Kari Kari was delicious. The Japanese Barbeque Chicken and Yakisoba bowls were equally as good. The service was fast, friendly and superb.YesNoReport544MehThe sushi was just okay. The service was friendly but slow. There were two birthday parties going on so it was very loud. Overal, we would only return if it were convenient to go.YesNoReport333Always ReliableMy husband and I had another great meal at Genki. Our server encouraged us to try to the portobello mushroom appetizer, which came perched on a bed of crispy spinach . . . it was DELICIOUS!Fresh sushi as always and lovely service. YesNoReport555Very good innovative food choices to sat ...Very good innovative food choices to satisfy the most diverse foodies. We had a great time Saturday night and enjoyed everything from the vegetable egg rolls to the deep fried tempura ice cream.

Soup was great as well as the main entree of tempura sushi and curry chicken dishes. Worth the drive from wherever you are.YesNoReport555Many Menu Choices, Fun Food!I'm not much of a rice bowl, noodles type person but went here at the request of a good friend. I was totally surprised by the food and it was quite good! Many choices and lots of variety on the menu. The staff was friendly and efficient. We ate outside so I cannot speak much to how the inside dining experience would be but the decor was modern, clean and seemed quite nice as well. I had a Tao Tini and cannot say it was the best drink I've ever had but maybe just not my 'style' of martini. All and all, I would go back.Arrived with a large group of 30 for a late lunch/ early dinner. Restaurant was nice, but for a group of 30 we could have used an extra server. Though I notified them over a week in advance that we would be coming they only had one waiter and the bartender available to wait on us.YesNoReport553Fun dinner for our anniversaryIt was quiet, food and service were great.

Will probably visit again.YesNoReport444Great service, the sushi wasGreat service, the sushi was outstanding.Asian fusion in a pretty setting. Service was quite good and food options and presentation were beyond expectations. Would happily return to try additional dishes.YesNoReport544Missing somethingThe Sandy Springs location has never felt the same as the Buckhead location, and this time I really felt they were about to close their doors. Lunch on a beautiful Friday and only about 4 tables occupied (we sat outside). Service was not great, no personality at all , and not a helpful attitude (we had to request a lunch menu because we knew there was one, then it wasn't explained and the choices are a little confusing). I used to LOVE Genki, not it's just ok.YesNoReport332Don 't miss the Sushi Bomb!Excellent sushi, and excellent music when we were there on Thursday evening.YesNoReport555Good sushi - decent restaurantI like Genki because they have brown rice sushi - not easy to find.

The service is average - nothing special. I asked for a bunch of sesame seeds to go with my sushi and got about 10. I had to ask over and over again for a few more sesame seeds and finally I was told - this is all we will give you. What's the big deal - to make a customer happy? They used to give a tiny free appetizer of pasta with peanut sauce (or something) - but they no longer do this. The service varies...sometimes good and sometimes mediocre.I'd still go back for the brown rice sushi. We have been several times before and have always enjoyed ourselves. This past time we went at 7:30 on a Friday night. The restaurant just seemed "out-of-it." It seemed like there was only ONE server for the entire restaurant and the Hosts seemed disinterested.YesNoReport332I have been going for yearsI have been going for years to the prado location. There are a couple of servers and a bartender that forget to bring drinks or an app. I am fine if they are apologize. I understand they can get busy.
