It knocked former winner Regency Cafe, a popular greasy spoon, to second place, and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal to third. Unlike many restaurant rating lists, which are compiled by food experts, the Yelp list was created by analysing the places that were most popular with ordinary people using the website.
More weight was given to recent reviews, while older reviews had less influence on the list. Affordable and everyday eateries dominated the list. Homeslice Pizza in Covent Garden was voted fourth whilst other low budget restaurants in the top 50 included Burger and Lobster, Baked Potato Shop and Monmouth Coffee. A Dishoom breakfast Heston Blumenthal's Dinner aside, restaurants run by celebrity chefs fared poorly: the eponymous Gordon Ramsay in London was given 12th place, L Atelier De Joël Robuchon in London ranked at 19th and The Fat Duck in Bray at 37th place. With an average four stars gleaned from over 370 reviews, Dishoom is reguarly praised by reviewers for its "excellent service" "reasonable prices" and "wonderful food". The interior of Dishoom One of the founders of Dishoom, Shamil Thakrar, said: "We couldn't be more delighted to hear this news. We feel privileged just to be able to be able to serve the guests who come through our doors for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and perhaps share a little bit of our love for Bombay food and culture with them.
"We're truly blown away that so many people have chosen to share their opinions of us online to help us reach the top spot". Dinner by Heston Blumenthal scooped the third spot Elliot Adams, Senior European Communications Manager for Yelp, said: 'Whilst it is to be somewhat expected that Michelin-starred restaurants with famous chefs have made this year's list of best places to eat in the UK, I am delighted that the Yelp community is able to champion the lesser known gems that serve fantastic food that is accessible to everyone. order sushi online london ontario"From Michelin starred restaurants to greasy spoons and even a fish and chip shop, there are hidden gems galore and something for every taste and budget on this list". jiro dreams of sushi online fullYelp Top 100 places to eat in the UK 1. sushi rolling mat set
