The Viscount, a riverboat that takes people from Putney Bridge to the City of London, comes past at 7am.
I have an outdoor shower and I used to take showers in the morning, but the boatyard received complaints from people coming over the bridge about a naked man, so now I take showers only when it is dark outside. After a cup of tea at home, I go out for breakfast with friends. Friends have become far more important than ever before. Photo: Ben Quinton Dress sense About 15 years ago I bought a pair of lime-green Oliver Sweeney shoes, and walked down Knightsbridge wearing them. A gorgeous 6ft girl walked towards me, looked down at my shoes, looked up at my face and smiled. I thought, 'Wow – I’m on to something here.’ From then on I started wearing only coloured shoes. I have a big collection and more recently I started to top and tail my look with these coloured hats (pictured above) – they are from La Cerise sur le Chapeau and I buy them at a shop on Kensington Park Road. yo sushi menu ingredientsCurrent project My new project, Yo! Home, has been in my head for seven years and I decided to build a prototype, using £300,000 of my own money, not through any great business plan, but because I wanted to see what it would look like. I have taken an 800 sq ft space and created a changeable home that uses the mechanics of stage scenery to transform a space from an empty party room to a sitting-room, a bedroom, an office, a dining-room or a kitchen.
I worked with a superyacht designer and a guy I know who makes mechanical scenery for theatres. Photo: Ben Quinton Heirloom This trophy, the Florinda Cup (pictured above), was much talked about in my family when I was growing up. My great-grandfather on my mother’s side won it in 1875, for a sailing race between Southsea and Weymouth, which, at less than 100 miles, is not the greatest race of all time. When I was growing up, either the cup or a silver polo pony that my father bought sat on the family dining table, and there was a lot of discussion as to who would inherit which. The cup was much more desirable and I am ashamed to say that I got it; my brother, Patrick, got the horse. On the wall When my mother died in 2004, aged 84, I didn’t want other things – I try to live free from possessions, so I let Patrick have them all – but I was keen on this portrait of my mother (pictured below). It hung in the drawing-room at our home, Hill House in Witham, Essex, which was a room that didn’t get used very often, and now it hangs on a wall of my houseboat.
I don't know who painted it, but it is a really good likeness. Level 1, Unit 26A, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 14, Dundrum, Dublin, Area Code: Dublin 14 Book a Table Now Reviewed 26th May 2014 (visited 4 May 2014) As a well travelled person in both countries and restaurants this isnt like sushi. These guys are not trained in the combinations and the aesthetic of the traditional dishes. The staff are friendly absolutely however I would not call it service. The atmosphere of sitting in the middle of a busy shopping centre and have everyone watch you reach over to grab your food it a little disgusting and impersonable. Hot food I would not recommend unless it's from the chefs personally it will be cold by the time it gets to you. Reviewed 09th July 2013 (visited 26 June 2013)The sushi was fresh, the service was ok. I thought for what you got it was very over priced. We were hungry again after an hour. Would not spend that much money again on sushi. Reviewed 03rd July 2013 (visited 25 June 2013)
Nice little place to have a snack, the food is fresh and healthy ..good value for most of the dishes..the only thing I didn't like is that they give you tap water and the portions are really small, you have to eat many otherwise you get starving really quickly Reviewed 21st September 2012 (visited 28 August 2012) Ive gone here almost every week during the summer fo the all you can eat with friends and it has been ok service was always a bit of a problem but the chefs were lovely and we tended to sit near them and ask them for anything we wanted. i was on my last occasion discusted when i ordered the mochi (chocolate rice ball) they were hard crunchy and gone off, not soft and delicious as usual when i complained the woman looked at them walked off checked the date on the pack took them away and said yeh their gone off.... when i took the next plate that came around they too were gone off too again i complained and was told to stop taking them if i know their gone off!!!!!!!!!
no appology no fresh ones. it was an absolute joke i think ill stick with yo sushi in town from now on Reviewed 13th June 2012 (visited 10 June 2012) We went there on Sunday and to my surprise, they had a €20 eat all you can special on. These where on most plates on the belt and I was stuffed. I enjoyed the sushi, it was fresh and tasty. Would go for the special again. Reviewed 09th May 2012 (visited 16 April 2012) Good Sushi but much too overpriced. Even the "Blue Mondays" offer when you pay 3 Euro for every plate off the belt sums up easily to 30 Euro. Anyway all the interesting stuff is not on the belt but can be ordered and will be charged at normal price. In short words, nice but much tooo expensive. Reviewed 01st May 2012 (visited 28 April 2012)Selection of sushi is limited but hot dishes are good. make sure you order them fresh. good fun but watch out as those plates add up and you end up spending a fortune ! I love the novelty of dining at a sushi train. There's something exciting about watching the different dishes pass you by on the conveyor belt and picking your food mid-journey at your fancy. Although the sushi at Yo Sushi is not the best in Dublin, it is tasty and great for a convenient fix. The staff here are always very friendly and helpful, however the sushi is very overpriced. Reviewed 24th November 2011 (visited 4 October 2011) Ate here with my mother, I'm not really into sushi so ordered a chicken curry off the menu. It tasted like it had been sitting there a while. and sauce had congealed. my mother picked a few things off the belt which she enjoyed some of. Reviewed 09th October 2011 (visited 27 August 2011) I visited this restaurant on my last visit to the Dundrum Town Centre as a change from usually going to other outlets in the centre. I'm glad I gave it a chance as I wasn't expecting it to be as good as a Japanese restaurant in Paris that I really liked.
The conveyor belt was a bit hard to understand at first but the staff were very good to explain that this was for cold dishes and that orders for hot food were taken and served by the staff. The flat rate for water was a godsend and perhaps something that other restaurants might consider (there was a tap for sparkling water as well as still). The price was very reasonable for the food and although I didn't eat very much I felt sated and happy. Perhaps that is the USP of sushi. Reviewed 21st September 2011 (visited 12 September 2011) Blue Monday all plates on the belt are €3. Sushi is only okay but its all we got in Dublin. I get my sushi fix once a month :) I like the sitting in the middle of shopping centre. Very Japanese like, eat and run. Reviewed 01st September 2011 (visited 31 August 2011) I really like japanese food so i go here alot, the dishes really vary in value like the chicken katsu curry is tasty only 5 euro and will fill you up if you fell like a snack but then you get little sushi rolls for up to 7 euro and if you came there hungry you might need or six of them so you definetly have to be cautious about what you get.
Also one thing the really vibed me out was last time i had the ebi katsu the praws were uncleaned meaning they had there small intestine in, that was very offputting. The service is good most of the time and the miso soup is nice and well priced. have been here a good few times before or after shopping. food is always fresh and of a high quality. service is always great too. The chicken katsu curry is delicious. Reviewed 02nd June 2011 (visited 25 May 2011) Went here after shopping, food is lovely, very reasonable and service is excellent, few things we wanted were only on the menu so were quickly ordered and didnt have to wait long Reviewed 21st April 2011 (visited 30 January 2011) Went there after shopping day. Personally love Japanese food, and was excited to sit down and get the small orders. Very plate only have two or three pieces, but delicious and nice looking. Good for lunch or afternoon snack time, because the price add up can be huge. Enjoyed the sushi and grills.
