I've been a regular of the York branch of yo sushi for a few years. The staff are always accommodating and friendly, joey/Jody exceeded themselves on my last visit. Had dinner here today after a walk around the York Christmas stalls. This is the first time that we have been to a yo sushi and it was a really pleasant change. Should probably point out that none of the family like sushi , but that really wasn't a problem as there are lots of other things to eat on... Came here in December for an early Christmas get together and to take advantage of the Sunday Munch deal (an amazing deal but someone really needs to tell Yo! HQ the other definition of a Munch). Service was friendly but incredibly slow, what's the point of the button system if it goes ignored? Food was either terribly stingy in portion... Visited when we fancied a bit of a change when visiting York on a Sunday afternoon. We were lucky to get a table straight away as it was very busy. Having not visited before the manager was very good and explained exactly what was what and the best deals we could get if we wanted to try a few different...

I've been to York Sushi restaurants elsewhere so knew not to expect high quality sushi but this was particularly poor with rolls that contained minimal fish and making with tiniest slivers of avocado in. Service was dreadful too and open plan kitchen meant we knew staff had no clue what food was for what table nor did they remotely care....
