Great view of the harbor is a benefit. Our server was cheerful and knowledgeable. Our food arrived quickly. We tried the oysters, tacos and crab cakes. Oysters from B.C. were very large and fresh. Tacos came with black bean sauce and were very good. Crab cakes were also great but a little fishy. We sat on the patio next to the railing and enjoyed the great view and... Restaurant has a great view of the harbor. It is a Very nice restaurant, fancy food and expensive. Only stopped in for drinks but would definitely consider going back to celebrate a special occasion They have a huge menu so it's a great place for a big group - everyone can get what they want. But I found the fish not that fresh and a lot of items were fried (red flag for real seafood lovers). I would recommend El Pescador in La Jolla instead. We had dinner out on the deck in January...it was lovely...heaters were enough to make it feel warm! Loved the city lights and being outside in January eating is wonderful for us...as wel live in COLD Vancouver..
We're locals and love to visit The Fish Market for oysters, a wedge salad and their delicious warm bread. We choose to sit in the bar area and enjoy the view. I ordered the Dungeness Crab CIOPPINO - enough for 2+ and outstanding! Stopped by here after visiting the USS Midway and the best thing are the views. You can sit outside right on the water or inside and have an almost as nice view. The menu is huge with something for everyone. The food was pretty good but the portions are slightly less then expected. This restaurant has great food, great servers and a great view. There is a wide variety of fish to order, it was kind of hard to decide on which dish to get.
