Owned and operated by two New Yorkers, sushi veteran Kazuo Yoshida of 1 or 8 in Williamsburg and TV-producer-turned-restauranteur Jake Smith, Myumi Sushi serves the traditional omakase experience to sushi lovers out of its custom-made food truck that can seat six (with soon expanding to 12) people at a time. Open from 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, it has seatings every hour on the hour. In the omakase tradition, there is no menu guests just tell the chef what you like and don’t like and what allergies they might have.

The fish that is served is brought in from both the Atlantic and Pacific waters, with the menu changing daily based on availability and season.
