Within seconds we had a kind gentleman asking us what we'd like to drink. I, being an American under the age of drinking, got a coke, as did my buddy. We got edamame and a sushi sampler after some time of thinking.
We didn't have to wait any longer than you would for a Big Mac before our food was sitting in front of us, looking almost artistic. Before I remembered to take a snapchat of my meal to strike a sense of jealousy in my friends, I had already put down all of my meal, as it was so appetizing, I ... Terrific experience, very kind staff, first day in town went very well starting particularly strong at Sushi Zushi. A very filling meal under 20$ made for a very good time. Less that 4 minutes after leaving the restaurant I returned for the pacifier left on the table.
The first person I asked, the bus boy, seemed bothered by the request. I made sure he knew that I was not asking if we left the pacifier, but told him we left the pacifier and returned to retrieve it. He said he did not see anything. I asked if he could check in the back or where they discard items from a cleaned table. He literally walked back spun around and came back outside where he told me he did not see anything. I guess he forgot that the area he went to is open to the view of the public. If you go here just make sure you do not forget anything. My husband and I are always a little hesitant to try new sushi places, because you never really know what you are going to get. They have such a variety, and we were very pleased. The only downside is that the menu is a little overwhelming. It seems like there are about 100 different rolls to choose from, not to mention the pages of available sake to choose from. Food is good, consistent, and servers are always nice, we've never had a problem. I will say the Lincoln heights location is usually pretty noisy which is good if you have a group. One dissapointing dish we ordered, which doesn't happen much, was an appetizer of seared tuna crusted with pepper.
