We went yesterday to give it another chance....last time the food was great the service terrible...now the food was marginal at best and the service...in an empty restaurant terrible.... It used to be a great place to eat...now its overpriced and a waste of time and money....dont go... Sushi tei is the best sushi with good ambience and kind waiter/waitress. Salmon mentai is the best.. Very nice ambience in Plaza Senayan outlet. Good variety of Japanese dishes. Chicken cutlet well prepared. We were expecting a better quality for this restaurant, quite disapointing. It does not seem fresh at all, the taste of the food is also missing. Ok for a quick lunch but do not wish for good sushis. this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Jakarta. i can visit here twice a week in lunch time or dinner. nice sashimi, chuka idako, and all of the fushion sushi taste are so good. I've been here many times, and the raw sashimi is the highlight in our menu.

Love, love, love raw sashimi here. No fishy, but fresh and bouncy. Again I bring my expatriate guest to this restaurant which has been being one of my favorites Japanese restaurant in Jakarta. One reason I bring him because he had never dined in this restaurant before. After having lunch he told me that he is very satisfied with all the foods and services. Sushi Tei is the fafourite restaurant of our family. My children and grand children always love to have family dining at Sushi Tei. There are variety of food, sushi and sashimi choice. The food taste and presentation was very good and the price was fair. The ambience and the service was alaso fine. fish here is average quality, decent but not the best. many other better places to go to that serve better. this restaurant is my favorite sushi Restaurant in town. This is a chained restaurant. You can find it at almost every major mall in Jakarta and some other big cities in Indonesia. It serves good sushi and sashimi, and other japanese food, for a casual and quick dining. A bit pricey but has better sushi compared to its competitors.

The staff seem to be on remote control. The Tempura is a joke. The chef must have come from a fried chicken or fish and chips restaurant. Large hunks of shiitake mushrooms loaded with lots of batter. They had tofu with a thick coating if fried batter. The "pan fried udon" was pretending to be pasta I think.... Our favorite sushi tei restaurant is Plaza Indonesia. The flavour and taste is different from other outlets. Unfortunately on weekends, there will be a long queue. But it is worth. Been here many times. Cozy place, friendly staffs, easy to reach while you are in Plaza Indonesia. Never missed my sushi again :) As prt of a group you know what to expect and this is no exception. Food and presentation first class and taste of the dishes exceptional. Reservation and confirmation quite fast and easy Reservation staff friendly and helpful Order served on time but some order need to wait quite long This place is quite affordable (for locals) or rather cheap (for foreigners).

The only reason why we wrote a blog post about this mall is because we simply love it alot! In fact we visited the mall three times already since its opening, oopsiee 😀 Some of you must already know that me and Mr. Jajan are weak when it comes to anything related to Japan because we loveeee Japan a lot especially the food. nd we couldn’t be happier when we visited AEON Mall that just opened at the end of May 2015. A lil background info about the mall, AEON Mall is a shopping mall originated from Japan. Their first mall in Indonesia is located in the BSD City simply because AEON tends to open their mall in the suburb area. AnakJajan heard that there will be another four malls following. What makes it different from the other mall is that they brought so many F&B brands (also non food brand, but we will be discussing from the side of food because I’m sure you agree that it is more interesting right 🙂 ) from abroad especially from Japan to open its first outlet in Indonesia in AEON Mall. Before you visit, AnakJajan must warn you that the phone signal inside this mall is VERY POOR! Most of the time our phone have no signal it was so hard to even have a phone call. Luckily they provide free WIFI for mall visitor, you can simply connect to AEON Mall free wifi. AEON Mall is located literally across to Swiss German University, not very far from The Breeze. Yo

u can easily check the map at the end of this post. If you are having hard time finding the location in the map, you can easily navigate yourself to Swiss German University and you will have no problem in finding the mall. One of the must visit for shopaholic would be AEON department store as you can find some Japanese products such as these cutesy Doraemon and Rilakkuma merchandise just like picture below. We always leave this mall with happy tummy because there are so many Japanese restaurant originated from Japan that have opened or will be opening soon in this mall just like Kushiya Monogatari (full review on Kushiya Monogatari blog post) with its unique Do-It-Yourself All-You-Can-Eat concept or Uchino Shokudo for a la carte Japanese meal. The main attraction of 3rd floor would be the Ramen Village, a heaven for noodle especially ramen lovers where you can find 8 ramen restaurants. Fyi, some restaurants serve porky ramen while some serve Halal no pork no lard ramen.

In front of Ramen Village, you will find plentiful of restaurants and food court filled with mostly local Indonesian food. If you need more variety, Food Culture could be a great choice. It is a food court at ground floor filled with majority Japanese food starting from yakitory, sushi, karaage, Japanese bakery, bento, okonomiyaki, teppanyaki, takoyaki, gyoza, kakigori, Japanese style Italian food till western food with Japan flavor influence. Fu For Taiwan specialty drink and crispy chicken, you can visit I Love Taimei on the 3rd floor near Ramen Village. Their Crispy chicken skin is HEAVEN!!Fu Del’immo Patisserie & Cafe is one of the newest additions in AEON Mall BSD City. The patisserie + cafe is located at the Ground floor fountain area of AEON Mall, right on the outside of Food Culture. Their thick soft fluffy cotton-like Souffle Pancake is a must try! Re Coffee break in the new Hario Coffee Factory inside AEON Dept. Store 1st floor could be a nice option for coffee addicts. Re

On the ground floor, there is this shop called Taste Better specialized in Durian Puff that is SOOO SO GOOD!! All of our durian lover friends including us enjoyed the Durian Puff a lot, small bite size puff filled with light yet cold durian custard that literally will explode in your mouth with its fragrant durian aroma. It is suggested to have the puff in one mouthful to get the best taste and sensation (IDR 50k/ box of 6 pcs). Besides puff, they also serve Durian soft serve ice cream (IDR 18k/ cone) that tastes just as good as the puff, recommended! Well the culinary journey is not over and won’t complete until you visit AEON Supermarket. The front area of supermarket is filled with so many interesting stalls that sell various food dominated with Japanese food such as kakiage, tempura, takoyaki, matcha softcream, bakery, etc with affordable price. They were still having opening promotion during our visit and the sushi was crazy cheap! Just like this set of sushi only cost IDR 59k for 20 pieces of sushi, the taste was pretty decent too. Su

Don’t forget to have Matcha soft ice cream dessert from Mini Stop stall, it is pretty delicious and not overly sweet with affordable price IDR 8k/ cone (small) or IDR 10k/ cone (large). Sakura Park – Lights Illumination Outdoor area of the mall is something that you must not miss during the night because they decorate the park with lights illumination that will be lighten up starting from 6pm. The lights illumination was quite nice it gave us a nostalgic feeling of lights illumination we had in Japan. You can see overlay of white, soft pink and pink sakura shaped lights throughout the park accompanied with lovely instrumental music. So Overall, AnakJajan just couldn’t get enough of this mall, there are so many upcoming opening soon restaurants or cafe that we would want to try. The only downside from this mall would be poor phone signal and the location, it is kinda far from our home if only they open near our home, we will be visiting this place probably every week 🙂 Let’s Jajan!!
