Tried some places of sushi tei, sometimes they have different quality of food, depend on the class of Mall. But usually during weekends they will have very long queue. You have to book in advance. This is a chained restaurant. You can find it at almost every major mall in Jakarta and some other big cities in Indonesia. It serves good sushi and sashimi, and other japanese food, for a casual and quick dining. A bit pricey but has better sushi compared to its competitors. The staff seem to be on remote control. The Tempura is a joke. The chef must have come from a fried chicken or fish and chips restaurant. Large hunks of shiitake mushrooms loaded with lots of batter. They had tofu with a thick coating if fried batter. The "pan fried udon" was pretending to be pasta I think....

Our favorite sushi tei restaurant is Plaza Indonesia. The flavour and taste is different from other outlets. Unfortunately on weekends, there will be a long queue. But it is worth. Been here many times. Cozy place, friendly staffs, easy to reach while you are in Plaza Indonesia. Never missed my sushi again :) As prt of a group you know what to expect and this is no exception. Food and presentation first class and taste of the dishes exceptional. Reservation and confirmation quite fast and easy Reservation staff friendly and helpful Order served on time but some order need to wait quite long This place is quite affordable (for locals) or rather cheap (for foreigners). From basic to fusion sushi, to other japanese dishes. Beware that the place will be fully packed on lunch and dinner time. You will in a long waiting list if you didn't make reservation beforehand. The hot and cold ocha (japanese green tea) is for free and you... this sushi tei is the best !

good quality food with excellent service. Seaweed salad is a must! Like all the different branches all around the world and in Singapore, the management has managed to maintain a good level of service and taste. Recommmended for cravings other than local food. We went yesterday to give it another chance....last time the food was great the service terrible...now the food was marginal at best and the service...in an empty restaurant terrible.... It used to be a great place to eat...now its overpriced and a waste of time and money....dont go... Sushi tei is the best sushi with good ambience and kind waiter/waitress. Salmon mentai is the best.. Very nice ambience in Plaza Senayan outlet. Good variety of Japanese dishes. Chicken cutlet well prepared. We were expecting a better quality for this restaurant, quite disapointing. It does not seem fresh at all, the taste of the food is also missing. Ok for a quick lunch but do not wish for good sushis. this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Jakarta.

i can visit here twice a week in lunch time or dinner. nice sashimi, chuka idako, and all of the fushion sushi taste are so good. I've been here many times, and the raw sashimi is the highlight in our menu. Love, love, love raw sashimi here. No fishy, but fresh and bouncy.
