Not sure what was going on here but I have never waited so long for service and our food to be served. Waitress took our drink and appetizer order then did not return for 30 minutes. Placed the entree orders immediately after then waited an hour. Finally asked to young lady at the sushi bar for help. We had not been here in a long time. I wish we didnt live so far away. The decor and food are authentic, incredible, and simply the best.

It is located in an older strip mall. The atmosphere is ok but nothing special. I had the Pork Bibimbap. The egg was overcooked and there was very little pork. Service was ok, perhaps a little pretentious. We probably won't return but there isn't many choices in Toledo. My wife and I love trying new sushi places and we had never eaten here before. We were pretty biased walking in because we considered Domo to be the best sushi in Toledo. However, after eating at Koreana, we now have a new favorite! The atmosphere - the ambiance here is that of a luxury restaurant. There is no "diner"... In Toledo, it's often difficult to find good food that doesn't involve chicken chunks. I'm a bit of a foodie, so while I sometime indulge in a chicken chunk or two, I'd much rather prefer more complex, unique flavors.
No side dishes such as seaweed salary... The food was delicious and the chef came out to explain to us how best to eat it. The chef is willing to cater to diverse dietary needs and requests.

So whatever notions that come to mind when thinking of an Asian restaurant, or Asian food... let those go. If you are downtown and want sushi, this will suffice. If you are a sushi connoisseur, Kyota Ka in Sylvania may be better for you.I have nothing but superlatives for this establishment. Sure, it's small, and I imagine that it is often difficult to get a table... the high quality of all of the offerings are worth the wait. First time my wife and I ate at Kengo - the sushi was amazing! So fresh and delicious! The spicy tuna was one of our favorites. Highly recommend stopping when in Toledo. Artitisically presented small bites of food, with killer cocktails, it is a very small place with limited seating, expect a wait of roughly 20-30 mins on weekend evenings. you will get a drink, during that wait, but the food is worth it. Features japanese barbeque (yakitori) basically small skewers of yummy proteins. and sushi, which is artfully presented. Excellent atmosphere in a rehabbed historic building Toledo's downtown. There is limited seating with limited reservations. The owner/chef greeted us when we arrived.
