If you only you had the people at a sweet lifestyle site that rhymes with "illest" to make the decision for you... Tomo is short for Tomohiro Naito, the mastermind behind this Buckhead jewel. His is the kind of sushi that makes you rethink all other sushi you’ve eaten; if you can, pony up the cash for a seat at the counter with Tomo himself. The former executive chef of sorely missed MF Buckhead opened this swank restaurant, which throws tradition out the door (think lychee fruit in your tuna) while retaining high quality. Don’t be surprised if you see a celebrity at Umi -- it’s a common occurrence, thanks to its proximity to the St. Regis. Before Krog Street Market opened, Inman Park had almost no Japanese food. Now, it’s home to some of Atlanta’s most delicate sushi, not to mention lunchtime ramen, complimentary cotton candy, and yakitori, aka delicious charcoal-grilled skewers.

Sushi Huku might be almost-OTP, but if you’re a purist, it’s destination-worthy for fish that is so fresh (and so clean, clean), you'll think about moving to the 'burbs. Buford Highway may not be the place you’d expect to find a high-end sushi bar. But really, it makes perfect sense: it’s tucked away from the hordes of Midtown and Buckhead, mostly frequented by Japanese families seeking authenticity. Go here for the real deal. If you have friends who won’t eat real sushi, Katana is the perfect group spot; it has an extensive teppanyaki menu, which is basically a fancy word for hibachi. Think filet mignon, sea bass, and organic chicken cooked tableside. The only thing better than great sushi is great sushi and a show... Which you won’t quite get at Taka, but Chef Taka’s larger-than-life personality does make for a unique experience. The One Sushi + doesn’t take itself too seriously: it has menu items like the O.M.G and the #Selfie roll. I love this little "hole-in the -wall" sushi restaurant in Disco Kroger Shopping center on piedmont Rd for their value. They do not have any exotic fish or ingredients but the freshness of the standard sushi and sashimi are wonderful; they also have fantastic shrimp fried rice.., the restaurant is owned by Koreans so it is a bit weird to... I have worked near this restaurant for the past 5 years and in that time the staff / restaurant has experienced quite a change. I eat at Yu Ka regularly. The pho is delicious, especially the beef. Sushi is always 50% off. It isn't top quality sushi, but it's tasty and fresh. Service can be slow, especially at lunchtime. The sushi here is very good and a little on the expensive side, but worth it. I will come again. The was good and the wait time is short. So nice to walk in here. Feels like a different world. Have some fresh sushi and some cold Sake. Tice A/C environment, too. I'm not used to Hotlanta weather! This great sushi restaurant is hidden in a shopping center but many seem to find it because it's always busy. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. If you are not in the mood for sushi or if someone in your group doesn't eat it, they have delicious Teriyaki chicken. We eat there several times a month and it's consistently... I just had the most shocking dining experience at Sushi Bar Yu-ka. I have been eating at this restaurant for years and have always enjoyed the service and the food. T
