Warhol died on February 22, 1987, in New York City. Marco Lodola was born in 1955 in Pavia; he attends the Fine Arts Academy of Florence and Milan. He starts his career at the beginnings of the 80s near to the New Futurism trend. His light sculptures make him one of the most well-known artist of Italy.

His artworks are exhibited not only in private collection but also in museums and public spaces. Two times at the “Biennale di Venezia” in 2009 and 2011 and continuously on the Italian Tv shows is one of the most important Italian artists of the moment. American artist Keith Haring was best known for his graffiti-inspired drawings, which he first made in subway stations and later exhibited in museums. Haring was born on May 4, 1958, in Reading, Pennsylvania. He moved to New York City in 1978 and began using the city as his canvas, making chalk drawings in subway stations. His art was eventually seen everywhere from public murals and nightclubs to galleries and museums around the world. He was also known for his activism in promoting AIDS awareness. He died of AIDS-related complications on February 16, 1990, at age 31. Painter, graphic artist and designer, Willow is able to reinterpret the traditional pop art, developing a personal expressive language. Micro-organisms populate Willow’s imagery invading every space of his pictures that appear to us like playful worlds but thanks to the underlying formal seriousness that characterizes them, they are endowed with undoubted communicative power and a great, amusing glamour.

American artist Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York City on October 27, 1923, and grew up on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. In the 1960s, Lichtenstein became a leading figure of the new Pop Art movement. Inspired by advertisements and comic strips, Lichtenstein’s bright, graphic works parodied American popular culture and the art world itself. He died in New York City on September 29, 1997. Lichtenstein became known for his deadpan humour and his slyly subversive way of building a signature body of work from mass-reproduced images. Milan based artist, Giuliano Grittini is also an art printer and photographer. He boasts of collaborations with relevant artists from 70s like Andy Warhol or Mimmo Rotella, he was also the official photographer of the Italian poetess Alda Merini. Capable of revitalise the pop art style through an original and unique of a kind technique; his portraits represent significant personalities from art and cultural world as well as celebrities and music icons.

The memory of a recent past raises again from Grittini’s paintings surface. Paolo Gaveglia, born in 1966, works and lives in La Spezia, Italy. A Self-educated artist, Gaveglia started with the mosaic technique after a period of trials with different mediums, from oil to watercolours, from collage to mixed techniques. A tireless experimenter, Gaveglia mixes past and present with unusual and innovative results. Active in the art-system from 2000 with several exhibitions in different Italian galleries and international art fairs, Gaveglia has also been exhibited in galleries across the world from massive art capitals in the United States such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, to Berlin, Paris, Dubai and for the first time this summer will be here in London, at the Amstel Art Gallery.
