Fresh sugar doughnuts at Biermarkt: Toronto, Ontario. ing up on the 3-year (!!) anniversary of this blog’s inception, it’s probably time to create another top 10 list. Since the last time I created a top 10 list, we’ve eaten at 25 more restaurants. Only….so many more to go!When it’s time to ask me for recommendations, this is the LIST! All of these restaurants would be good to take your parents, or your friend from out-of-town, or your date to.TOP 10 RESTAURANTS IN LONDON, ONTARIO1. TAMARINE BY QUYNH NHI (Modern Vietnamese)I ran into a blog reader the last time we were at our favourite place in London…changing lives here, people!2. DAVID’S BISTRO (Fine Dining)This has become our go-to special occasion dining. Very cosy, very special.3. THE ONLY ON KING (Farm-to-Table)We loved our meal at this downtown favourite. It’s now called TOOK, and had a menu change, but our friends assure us it’s as good as ever.4. BLACK TRUMPET (Fine Dining)We’ve been back a few times since our first visit.

Always a great meal.Amazing flavours, open kitchen, totally delicious Italian. This is probably the discovery on the blog that we’ve returned to the most. Love the service and sushi.7. THE EARLY BIRD/ROCK AU TACO (Upscale Diner)Still our go-to brunch, there are huge portions and so much smoked meat. Cannot wait for the Wolfe bros. third restaurant to open in Wortley Village (WOLFE OF WORTLEY, coming to the AZ RESTO TOUR SOON!)8. THE CHURCH KEY (Upscale pub)I had eaten at this place a few times before we started the tour, but it is one of my favourite downtown places of late. That Ploughman’s platter, with its Branston pickle? Please.9. BLU DUBY (Small bites/Casual)I KNOW I KNOW. My initial review was not glowing. I compared it Hollister, because it was too dark and had a weird smell. But we end up here often with friends and always have a good meal, and the decor is lovely. Try the curry moules frites, and the braised beef and mushroom risotto. Wow.When people ask for our best “discovery,” this is it.

A tiny, soulful gem on Dundas East.
