Ottawa's favourite ALL YOU CAN EAT restaurants 1910 Innes Road, Gloucester 228 Albert Street, Ottawa 228 Albert Street, Ottawa (2nd floor) "My husband and I had dinner here recently. This place has a lot of character. It has a kitschy nautical theme to it, complete with a mannequin dressed like a pirate that greets you at the entrance. "Went here for the first time after hearing so many rave reviews, and man it did not disappoint! 4 pages of vegan options to chose from (there's meat there too for the carnivores) and even dairy free…" "I had takeout from here recently and it was great. I had been avoiding this spot for sometime despite it being in my neighbourhood because I went to their Merivale location many years ago and was not…" "Went here on a recommendation from some friends for a 5-year wedding anniversary celebration. I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere... I think I was imagining something more…"“My favourite is the coconut ice cream though.”

“A great positive that is rare to find at AYCE is that they hardly missed an item that we requested, so that is a major plus.” “Teriyaki, tempura, udon, short ribs, fried rice, General Tsao's chicken, seaweed salad, wonton soup...” "Since moving to Ottawa from Toronto, this has been our go-to sushi place ... try to make it out here at least once a month. Fish has always been fresh, and not a single item off the menu has let us down…" "Dis place is BOMB amazing sushi, try handrolls, amazing everythin else like dimsum you gotta try. The calamari isnt really good dont get dat but everything else is amazing. Service was perfect never had…" We have been regulars at this place for years, but in recent years we are observing steady decline in both service and food.Todays visit was a total disappointment. My favourite until today hot and sour soup consisted of spicy water and some shredded carrots. I did not see any mushrooms or pieces of tofu there. The set of beef teriyaki...

Terrific experience, September 11/2016. Server greeted is within two minutes of being seated. She took our order for drinks and brought them moments later. our first dishes arrived in less than five minutes of being seated. More dishes arrived about six minutes later, before we had finished our first dishes. Our server checked with us several times... We are regulars at Sushi Kanata: the choice is impressive, the price is right, and the food is excellent. We usually go on a Friday night, therefore we get the all you can eat and have the bonus of the special items only available on weekends. The service is courteous and fast and the setting is clean and simple. Our family has been going to various All-You-Can-Eat Sushi restaurants among other throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) at least once or twice a month. I think, we found the first Sushi Kan, at Baseline & Mervale roughly around 2003. It was a marvellous place to introduce our local and out-of-town friends.

It’s got cute decorations and the inside is well lit.
jiro dreams of sushi svtThey had tvs on the wall – you can watch while you eat. Service – our service was nice she was attentive and somewhat checking on us couple times which was great. I've Been to Sushi Kanata and the service is TERRIBLE! Last night we went and ordered drinks...And then We were ready to order but no one came! We waited about 20 minutes but NO ONE came to the table! So we just decided to pay for our drinks, leave and go someplace else... Not going there anytime soon... We have been going to this restaurant from opening, more then 10 years ago. Best Sushi in Kanata! Bbq Teriaki Squid - is your another hit! The crew has changed. I liked the previous one a lot more. The new people do not seem to know the menu as good as there own customers. The do not understand...10 years in a row! “One of my favorite places”

I have been to this restaurant a few times, which offers a different experience to the usual mainstream restaurants or pub fares. You can create your ouwn personalized meal by selecting items from the menu. My past experience with this location has been okay. Personally, I recall Hockey Sushi serving slightly better tasting food, although I have not been at... I enjoy this place for your basic typical sushi rolls since they don't have much variety or special kind of rolls. Their yummy yummy rolls and shrimp avocado are the best. They have a bit more options for dinner time but not anything that would make you want to spend the extra money. Lunch is about $15 and dinner $22... We went to hockey sushi as a party of 4. We were seated quickly next to the door. The server came to take our drink order. I asked if they had coffee, and she left. She later returned with 4 glasses of water.... I guess we're drinking water now. We checked our orders off on the paper and someone came...

Good choice for Lunch Sushi. This place is located in a strip mall near all the offices. Very busy at lunch and excellent variety of Sushi rolls , hand rolls, and chinese dim sum dishes too. Overall the staff although not interactive are very efficient and the service is fast. The rolls are fresh and they come quick. My family was staying at the Brookstreet hotel and was craving sushi for dinner. The restaurant wasn't busy but the service was terrible. Slow.... inattentive... borderline rude attitude from our server. The food was tasteless and didn't seem to be fresh... we left half way through and will never return. Good food and great variety. Really enjoyed the California rolls and salmon sashimi. This place is great. It's not fancy but the food is delicious. There's room for larger parties which is nice and the selection on the menu is quite vast. Everything is fresh and they give you a pot of tea at your table. Also, if you're looking for a good tempura scallop - these guys have it!

Everything I ordered from this place was awful, including the sashimi. They drowned the rolls in mayo and sauce, I imagine to distract you from the harsh reality that their ingredients were not fresh at all. I couldn't bring myself to finish my meal and I think that has to do with the fact that the quality is simply not... Went for dinner with my family and it was amazing. The staff were great and the sushi was very fresh. I have been to alot of sushi places and this by far was the best. It’s clean and inviting place. If you like sushi then it’s good place to visit. We were as family of four for our Sundays lounge. Sushi were fresh and tasty. Beside sushi we also ordered chicken stew, soup and ice cream and tea. All food was good except tea. The tea had specific smell we did not like. So they are having a grand re-opening after being shut down for 6 months or so after a kitchen fire. The place looks clean and modern. This used to be my favorite restaurant for sushi......and usually a grand re-opening means the foods going to be great and they may even have specials.
