sushi in dubai airport

of Dining in Dubai Airport We wanted to go for a change in our tastebud. So here we are in Ocean Basket. Unfortunately, no oysters available and it should be informed to prevent further disappoinment as menu indicates available. Food served was quite fast but dessert was a long wait. Staff could hv been more approchable. And the waiters seemed so busy... We have been having too many burgers so having seafood for a change was nice. The platter for 1 has a good spread of mussels, prawns & fish. Very full, slow service, undercooked food and unfriendly staff. Avoid if possible, but the choice at Terminal 3 is limited! The food at Ocean Basket was average. We had calamari and a few drinks while in transit. However, there was some mix up and confusion with the drinks. A staff insisted that we ordered a drink which we didn't. When the drink came, I told the staff that we did not order it. He could not accept what I said... This restaurant located gate #B28 at Dubai airport , I like my fish dish with portions was big enough to fill tummy.
They served two pcs of slice bread nothing too impressive . Staff are very attentive with my order. I like how they serve food in pot. The first bonus was that the meal was by courtesy of Air Emirates, who when they saw we had a long layover the Airport, gave us meal vouchers - that is what makes them an exceptional airline. We didn't go for anything too exceptional but service was good and the food well prepared - a good experience. I was given a food voucher by Emirates because of my long lay over and chose Ocean Basket over the other options available . I opted for the fish and chips and was more than pleased. The perfectly cooked fillets of fish came with a wonderful lemon sauce and plenty of well cooked chips. This week I had another long... I really wanted this place to be good Besides the order mixup The fried calamari is not what one usually gets when u order it everywhere else Boiled calamari with very thin bread like batter with no flavor Same goes for the rice no flavor
The only thing I enjoyed were the prawns Go straight to the prawns :) Waited long for a waiter to notice me. Asked a few times for a menu. Was not spoken to once. I was gestured where to sit and the waiter just dropped the menu on my desk and left me. Did not return for 15 min. As we eat at Ocean Basket in South Africa a lot i was highly disappointed.... Have dined here several time & the quality of the food always entices us back whenever we have waiting time at the airport In addition to seafood it also offers some Japanese food “Our favourite restaurant at Dubai airport”Upbeat, casual and slightly edgy, Izakaya is the new Japanese destination in Dubai.
