YesNoReport5555This was not my first time eating at Kiy ...This was not my first time eating at Kiyens. It is, however, my first time providing a review. Kiyens has superb food quality. Some of the best crab I have had in my life is served here. I eat at other Japanese or sushi-based restaurants and I find myself smiling while eating from the sheer deliciousness of my meals and the warm atmosphere that Kiyens provides. Their staff is some of the most professional people I have encountered and they truly understand the meaning of hospitality. I have not had one unpleasant experience while at Kiyens. Even when the kitchen was backed up, I do not mind to wait. The one time the kitchen was backed up, the actual wait was minimal and Kiyens accommodated us with a second salad and another order of our nigiri at no cost. This is the perfect place to bring a loved one or a small gathering of friends. They know how to treat customers and encourage repeat business. I will be back to Kiyens because of the staff, because of the food and all the great service I have received.

Well those reviews could not have been more wrong. From the greeting at the door and all throughout the meal we thought the service was fantastic. Grace was our waitress, and she was very attentive without every being intrusive. If we had a question she was right there to answer it, but we never felt like she was lingering. Her bright smile and cheery attitude complimented the ambiance perfectly. We ordered sushi from their list of specialties, and both were great. Mine was unusual with blue, but I loved it. We had a bottle of Malbec that was wonderful, and the spring rolls came with an unusual light dipping sauce that was great.

With sushi and an appetizer we were almost full. So we split a full order of friend rice with beef, chicken, and shrimp. This is the only time I have ordered fried rice and received as much meat as rice. It was wonderful...no sauce added for flavor.
