Trevor Maddy, 17, of Aptos was arrested in the Rio del Mar area thanks to numerous tips from the public, according to a CHP release. The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. near Treasure Island Avenue and Winfield Way in Rio del Mar, said CHP officer Trista Sharp. A driver of a Volvo XC90 struck 25-year-old Nicole Brown of Rio del Mar as she was standing on a sidewalk. The crash sent her into the air. She broke her femur and back, her family said. CHP officers released a description of the Volvo last week, which led to numerous tips about its driver, Sharp said. “We’re asking the public right now for help in finding him,” Sharp said of Maddy.

Our StoryMidori started out on the Main Street in Grand Bend 7 years ago. They specialize in Sushi, but also offer appetizers, salads, stir fries, a full bar, daily specials and even a mouth-watering turkey burger.  Midori was originally a very small catering and takeout business. Each new season brought more business to the small restaurant. After year 3, owner-operator Tina Sandre decided to take the risk of expanding her existing business. Midori moved into a larger, more upscale and newly renovated location, complete with a patio and a liquor licence. In 2013, Tina was awarded the Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year. This was a great compliment to her efforts as opening a restaurant was an ultimate dream.
Midori is a perfect choice for a date, a lunch time treat, take out or an evening out with friends! Open 7 days a week, and every long weekend.  Book your reservation today!
