I am pretty picky. Also, I don't think I have ever given more than 3 stars to any fast food establishment. My wife and I went to this location today having never been…" "Tried this place out for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Went close to around 1:30 to try and avoid a crowd. It was still crowded and with a wait, but they quoted 30 minutes and it was about that length…" "Hopped in for a quick dinner and wasn't disappointed. We had Kung Pao Chicken and Honey Crisp Chicken. The Kung Pao had really good flavor and just the right amount of heat. Veggies are not over cooked and…"

Grab your sushi here: Wasabi, a small Washington, D.C.-based restaurant chain, will bring its conveyor-belt sushi to Texas — specifically Frisco, in Stonebriar Centre mall. The restaurant will take up the space previously occupied by a Microsoft kiosk, in the lower level of the food court. A mall spokesman said it'll open in July. Founded in 2006, Wasabi has four locations: one in Virginia, two in Massachusetts and one that opened in Florida in 2012.

sushi cat 3 arcadeprehacksThe Stonebriar Wasabi will be modeled after the one in Natick, Massachusetts, with a bay sticking out from a center circle that resembles the Starship Enterprise. "The centerpiece is our eye-catching conveyor belt, where plates of sushi, sashimi and nigiri glide around the restaurant," reads Wasabi's Facebook page.

Wasabi won't be the first sushi spot with a conveyor belt (a.k.a., a kaiten). There's Sushi Envy in north Plano, and there was Genki Sushi in North Dallas, which closed last year. But Wasabi will be the only conveyor-belt sushi in which each plate has a radio frequency ID chip tracked by a computer to tell how long it has been circling, circling. And if you care to clock the conveyor belt's speed, it's "a serene quarter of a mile per hour." In addition to standard sushi items, Wasabi does trendy creations like the "BLT," with bacon, lettuce and mayo-scallion-soy sauce wrapped in a roll and topped with fresh tomato. There are always cooked, raw and veggie items such as the Sunrise roll with sweet potato, carrot, roasted red pepper and veggie cream cheese. Distinctive desserts include green tea mousse and the chocolate "beignet," with chocolate enclosing a center of mango puree. And like fellow chain Sushi Samba (which once had a branch at Galleria Dallas), Wasabi's menu features a few Latin American items like ceviche and tiradito, the Peruvian rendition of raw fish.

“You can pick from the conveyor belt or order from the touch screen and they zip it to you on a separate belt.” “Wait time is fair for how busy they constantly are (30 min to 1hr) This is the first place that I have been where they have this concept.” “The plates are counted and every 15 you get a little plastic ball with a prize, which is awesome to keep kids engaged.” Show more review highlights I figure my title says it all. I've google searched and checked out some of the reviews here but not sure - anyone know of a conveyor belt style sushi restaurant in Dallas? Not too picky on the area of Dallas but closer to AA stadium the better. Or perhaps around the Colleyville area, as we have to go to that area too. Re : Colleyville and neighboring Southlake and Grapevine. The following site includes three different restaurants. I'm not a sushi fan, so cannot comment, but when you arrive, you could contact them about the conveyor belt...... Otherwise, you can google and check reviews.

In general, I know Edohana's menu on 114 in Grapevine gets good reviews. One destination mentioned in this postI will check the link now. So many places in Dallas in general, I don't know where to start. I'm not sure if we have places like that - health codes or something. There is a place near AAC - Kenichi...it's just so-so. Kinda fancy and very over priced. We went a couple of weeks ago and didn't care for it. The best sushi places are: Teppo and Tei Tei. Many people like sushi Axiom - I don't care for it. Avoid Sushi on McKinney. Here's a couple of sushi places that have conveyor belts: Genki Sushi & Steak/ but have never been personally. Not sure if either place is what you're looking for, but both come highly recommended for great sushi... & one fits your location! -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
