The object of Phlinx is to create groups of 3 or more matching sones and make them disappear. Free the four captured glyphs and win the puzzle game! Gameplay consists mostly of using your sun disk to shoot stones into the playing field. To aim your sun disk, just move your mouse around in the playing field. You'll see that the sun disk rotates to follow your cursor, and an aiming line shows you where your shot will land. Once you are satisfied with your aim, click the left mouse button to fire! If you're having trouble finding a good shot, you can also move your disk to any of the three different platforms you see at the bottom of the screen. To move to a different platform, either left-click on the platform or use the space bar to rotate between platforms. Once you have launched a stone, it will travel in a straight line, bouncing off the pillars on the sides, until it hits another stone in the playing field. The stone will join the rest of the playing field at the point where it landed.
If that stone becomes part of a group of 3 or more stones of the same color, they'll disappear. If, after these stones disappear, there are other stones disconnected from the rest of the playing field, they'll fall to the ground. These stones then make their way down the ramp and knock the progress meter closer and closer to its goal at the top of the pillar. It's by releasing these stones, not just making matches, that you earn tokens and win the game. Your sun disk contains two stones. The larger stone in front is the one you currently have loaded. The smaller stone in back indicates the next color that will be loaded into your sun disk. As you make shots, new rows will be added to the playing field. These new rows will be added based on the number of shots you make, not the amount of time you take. So feel free to take your time between shots to aim, chat, read a short romance novel, or bake a batch of chocolate-chip cookies for your favorite game developers (Cough cough.)
The rows won't advance during that time. If you'd like to learn more about how to play this game, please read the Complete Game Guide. By CAGal1950 November 20th, 2016, 8:45 pm For that badge I played on Beginner Level. There is usually only one power up showing at first. Build up a good group to drop before you drop that power up. When you do, store it/switch it out. It didn't take me that long. It was a nice change from just dropping groups. Phlinx • Planet Phlinx badge By gr8meatymo November 20th, 2016, 7:51 pm
Hi everyone ~I have been struggling with this particular badge. The requirements are to "Win 60 rounds without using any power ups". I find that if I avoid shooting them down/creating large drops that would contain them, I end up getting overloaded with stones and losing the round. Is there some sort of trick to this?I am hoping that I might get some advice as to how I could achieve this. Phlinx • Re: Phinx Double Shots By Mod_Jada November 20th, 2016, 11:00 am That usually indicates a mouse problem. If it's a corded mouse, clean it.If it's a cordless mouse, replace the battery. If the mouse is old you should consider replacing it because the left click function wears out over time and will cause the issue you have described. You might not notice problems in other games because it's a subtle change but you will notice difficulty in some games such as Phlinx and Mahjong Garden. I replace my mouse at least once a year. Phlinx • Re: My Image in Phlinx Has Been Hacked!
By Johnmanjaybee November 19th, 2016, 3:23 pmGlad it's just a cartoon image and not a real photograph. (Do wish I had those ripped abs, though.) By mom3908 November 19th, 2016, 12:03 pmHowever, the problem is still due to the same issue that causes our own Minis to load incompletely: a lag in communication between our own computer and Pogo's server. It doesn't matter if the Mini is ours or someone else's, we still get that info (or don't get it) from the Pogo server.
